การวิจัยนี้ มีวัตถุประสงค์เพื่อศึกษา (1)ดัชนีค่าจ้างขั้นต่ำของภาคอุตสาหกรรม (2) ดัชนีแรงงานของภาคอุตสาหกรรม(3) ดัชนีผลิตภาพแรงงานของภาคอุตสาหกรรม และ (4) ความสัมพันธ์ระหว่างอัตราค่าจ้างขั้นต่ำและผลิตภาพแรงงานของภาคอุตสาหกรรมในจังหวัดพื้นที่ชายฝั่งทะเลตะวันออกของไทย ผลการศึกษาพบว่า(1) ดัชนีค่าจ้างขั้นต่ำของภาคอุตสาหกรรมมีแนวโน้มเพิ่มขึ้นอย่างต่อเนื่องจากปีฐานโดย ปี 2555 เพิ่มขึ้นมากที่สุดร้อยละ 93 (2) ดัชนีแรงงานของภาคอุตสาหกรรมมี
แนวโน้มเพิ่มขึ้นอย่างต่อเนื่องจากปีฐาน โดยปี 2552 เพิ่มขึ้นมากที่สุดร้อยละ 61 (3) คัชนีผลิตภาพแรงงานของภาคอุตสาหกรรมมีแนวโน้มเพิ่มขึ้นจากปีฐาน โดยปี 2550 เพิ่มขึ้นสูงสุดร้อยละ 171.9 ยกเว้นปี 2549, 2552 และ 2555 ที่ลดลงจากปีฐานร้อยละ 10.6, 2.8, และ 2.8 ตามลำดับ (4) อัตรา
ค่าจ้างขั้นต่ำมีความสัมพันธ์กับผลิตภาพแรงงานในทิศทางเดียวกันอย่างมีนัยสำคัญทางสถิติที่ระดับ 0.05ของอุตสาหกรรมการผลิต อุตสาหกรรมการก่อสร้างและอุตสาหกรรมการขนส่ง สถานที่เก็บสินค้าและการคมนาคม
The objectives of this research were to study; (1) Minimum wage rate Index (2) Labor Index (3) Labor Productivity Index; and (4) the relationship between the minimum wage rate and labor productivity of the industrial sector in the Eastern Seaboard Provinces of Thailand. This research focused on the industrial sectors including Manufacturing Industry, Construction Industry, Mining and Quarrying Industry and Transport, Storage and Communications Industry in Chonburi, Rayong, Chantaburi and Trad provinces. Data gathered from Minimum Wage Rate, Labor Productivity, Gross Domestic Product, and Consumer price Index from 1998 to 2012 and analyzed by wage rate Index, Labor Index, Labor Productivity Index using the base year in 2000 and Pearson Product moment Correlation. The research findings were; (1) Minimum wage rate Index of the industrial sector had increased from the base year, the highest one was found in 2012 up to 93 percent (2) Labor Index of the industrial sector had increased from the base year, the highest one was found in 2009 up to 61 percent (3) Labor productivity Index of the industrial sector had increased from the base year, the highest one was found in 2009 up to 171.9 percent except in 2006, 2009 and 2012 had decreased from the base year 10.6, 2.8 and 2.8 percent respectively and 4) Minimum wage rate had positive relationship with labor productivity at the 0.05 significant level in Manufacturing Industry, Construction Industry and Transport, Storage and Communications Industry
