Abstract
การวิจัยครั้งนี้มีวัตถุประสงค์เพื่อศึกษา (1) ประเภทและรูปแบบของยาแผนโบราณที่กลุ่มผู้ใช้แรงงานในเขตเมือง จังหวัดสมุทรปราการเลือกใช้ (2) ปัจจัยการเปลี่ยนแปลงทางสังคมและวัฒนธรรมที่มีผลต่อความเชื่อเกี่ยวกับการใช้ยาแผนโบราณของกลุ่มผู้ใช้แรงงานในเขตเมือง จังหวัดสมุทรปราการ (3) แนวโน้มการใช้ยาแผนโบราณในอนาคตของผู้ใช้แรงงานในเขตเมือง จังหวัดสมุทรปราการ วิธีการวิจัยเป็นการวิจัยเชิงคุณภาพโดยการศึกษาเอกสาร การสัมภาษณ์เจาะลึก และการสนทนากลุ่ม กลุ่มตัวอย่างได้แก่ ผู้ใช้แรงงานจำนวน 21 คน และผู้ให้ข้อมูลสำคัญ 8 คน ซึ่งประกอบด้วย เภสัชกร แพทย์เจ้าหน้าที่สาธารณสุขจังหวัด และผู้ประกอบโรคศิลปะแผนโบราณ เครื่องมือที่ใช้ในการวิจัยได้แก่ แบบสัมภาษณ์เชิงลึก แล้วอธิบายผลการวิจัยในลักษณะพรรณาวิเคราะห์ผลการวิจัยพบว่า (1) ประเภทของยาแผนโบราณที่ผู้ใช้แรงงานเลือกใช้ ได้แก่ ยาระบบทางเดินอาหารรูปแบบยาแผนโบราณที่กลุ่มผู้ใช้แรงงานเลือกใช้ ได้แก่ ยาน้ำและยาผง ยาแผนโบราณที่ผู้ใช้แรงงานเชื่อถือมากที่สุดและใช้มากที่สุด ได้แก่ ยาหอม (2) การเปลี่ยนแปลงทางสังคมเป็นการเปลี่ยนแปลงขององค์กรสังคม ได้แก่ การ

สะดวกและความรวดเร็วในการไปการเดินทางไปโรงพยาบาลทำให้การใช้ยาแผนโบราณลดลง สถาบันทางวิทยาศาสตร์และเทคโนโลยี ยาแผนปัจจุบันมีการวิจัยและพัฒนาทำให้การใช้ยาแผนโบราณลดลง แต่การพัฒนารูปแบบยาแผนโบราณทำให้การใช้ยาแผนโบราณเพิ่มมากขึ้นเช่นกัน สถาบันการเมือง การกำหนดนโยบาย แผนพัฒนาเศรษฐกิจและสังคมแห่งชาติส่งเสริมการใช้ยาแผนโบราณให้เพิ่มขึ้น ปัจจัยการเปลี่ยนแปลงทางวัฒนธรรมที่มีผลต่อความเชื่อในการใช้ยาแผนโบราณ ได้แก่ การโฆษณาส่งเสริมการใช้ยาแผนโบราณ การเปลี่ยนแปลงความต้องการของแรงงาน การปลูกฝังวัฒนธรรม และการรับวัฒนธรรมใหม่ในการใช้ยาแผนปัจจุบัน (3) แนวโน้มการใช้ยาแผนโบราณในอนาคต ผู้ใช้แรงงานยังใช้ยาแผนโบราณต่อไป ทางจังหวัดสมุทรปราการมีนโยบายการส่งเสริมการบริการแพทย์แผนไทยเพิ่มขึ้น
The purposes of this research were to study (1) the preparations and types of traditional medicine that were used by Samut Prakan urban workers, (2) the effect of socio-cultural changes on the workers’ beliefs in traditional medicine usage, and (3) the future trends in traditional medicine usage of Samut Prakan urban workers. This was a qualitative research. Data were collected via documentary study, in-depth interview, and a focus-group. The samples of the study consisted of 21 urban workers and 8 key informants including pharmacists, physician, government officers, and traditional medicine doctors. The research tool employed in the study was in-depth interview form. The results were obtained from the descriptive content analysis. It was revealed that (1) the preparations of traditional medicine that Samut Prakan urban workers used were solution and powder. The workers used traditional medicine for gastrointestinal system treatment. Furthermore, Ya-Hom, a traditional medicine for gastrointestinal disturbance, was the most popular in their groups. (2) Social changes were the social organization change. Factors affected the decrease on the use of traditional medicine were the shift from extended family to nuclear family, friend groups, labor class, and urban community. Intrinsic factors that affected traditional medicine usage were social value, socialization, education, transportation, and religion. Moreover, extrinsic factors were technology adoption, economic environment, and migration. Cultural changes were the social institution change. The changes comprised Economic institution which was limited wage, Transportation institution comprised convenience in transportation, and Science and technology institutions which were modern medicines. Those all factors led traditional medicine usage to a downward trend. New preparations of traditional medicine made the usage increase. National economic and social plans advocated traditional medicine usage. Cultural factors that affected traditional medicine usage were advertisement, change in need, enculturation, and acculturation. (3) In the future, Samut Prakan urban workers will still use traditional medicine because of the province policy to promote Thai traditional medicine.
