การวิจัยนี้มีวัตถุประสงค์เพื่อศึกษาสูตรน้ำหมักชีวภาพต่างๆ ที่มีผลต่อการเจริญเติบโต
ผลผลิต และคุณภาพของผลผลิตของเมล่อนวางแผนการทดลองแบบสุ่มสมบูรณ์ จำนวน 5 ทรีตเมนต์ ๆ ละ 4 ซ้ำ ได้แก่ (1) ปุ๋ยเคมี(ควบคุม) อัตรา 30 ซีซี ต่อน้ำ 5 ลิตร (2) น้ำหมักชีวภาพจากผลไม้ อัตรา 30 ซีซี ต่อน้ำ 5 ลิตร (3) น้ำหมัก
ชีวภาพจากนมสด อัตรา 30 ซีซี ต่อน้ำ 5 ลิตร (4) น้ำหมักชีวภาพจากไข่ อัตรา 30 ซีซี ต่อน้ำ 5 ลิตร และ (5) น้ำหมักชีวภาพจากหน่อกล้วย อัตรา 30 ซีซี ต่อน้ำ 5 ลิตร เก็บข้อมูลการเจริญเติบโต ผลผลิต และคุณภาพของผลผลิตของเมล่อน วิเคราะห์ความแปรปรวน และเปรียบเทียบความแตกต่างของค่าเฉลี่ยโดยวิธี DMRT ที่ระดับนัยสำคัญ 0.05 จากการศึกษาพบว่า การเจริญเตีบโตทางลำต้นของเมล่อนในแต่ละทรีตเมนต์มีความแตกต่างกันอย่างมีนัยสำคัญทางสถิติ (p<0.05) โดยน้ำหมักชีวภาพจากไข่มีผลให้ความสูงของต้นเมล่อนสูงสุด เท่ากับ 1,537.70 เซนติเมตร น้ำหมักชีวภาพจากหน่อกล้วยและปุ๋ยเคมีมีความสูงของต้นเมล่อนต่ำสุด เท่ากับ 1,288.80 และ 1,310.50 เซนติเมตร ตามลำดับ เส้นผ่านศูนย์กลางลำต้นเมล่อนมีค่าสูงสุดเท่ากับ 6.59 เซนติเมตรจากการใช้น้ำหมักชีวภาพจากผลไม้ ในทางตรงข้ามการใช้
ปุ๋ยเคมีมีค่าเส้นผ่านศูนย์กลางลำต้นเมล่อนต่ำสุดเท่ากับ 5.46 เซนติเมตร ความกว้างใบ ความยาวใบและจำนวนใบของเมล่อนในแต่ละทรีตเมนต์ไม่มีความแตกต่างกันอย่างมีนัยสำคัญทางสถิติ (p-0.05)นอกจากนี้ระยะเก็บเกี่ยวผลผลิต พบว่าเส้นรอบวงผลเมล่อนและน้ำหนักผลเมล่อนในทุกทรีตเมนต์ไม่มีความแตกต่างกันอย่างมีนัยสำคัญทางสถิติ (p<0.05) โดยค่าความหวานของเมล่อนมากที่สุดเมื่อได้รับน้ำหมักชีวภาพจากหน่อยกล้วยเท่ากับ 13.75 บริกส์ และเมื่อได้รับน้ำหมักชีวภาพจากผลไม้

The objectives of this research were to study how fermented bio-extract formulations affected the growth, yield and quality of melon. Experimental design was Completely Randomized Design (CRD) with 5 treatments and 4 replications. The treatments were (1) chemical fertilizer (control), rate of 30 c.c. to 5 liters of water; (2) fermented bio-extract from fruit, rate of 30 c.c. to 5 liters of water; (3) fermented bio-extract from fresh milk, rate of 30 c.c. to 5 liters of water; (4) fermented bio-extract from egg, rate of 30 c.c. to 5 liters of water; and (5) fermented bio-extract from banana shoot, rate of 30 c.c. to 5 liters of water. Data on the growth, yield and quality of melon were collected. Analysis of variance was performed and means among treatments were compared using Duncan’s New Multiple Range Test (DMRT) at 0.05 confidence. The study found that the mean stem growth of melon in each treatment was statistically significantly different (p<0.05). The highest mean height of melon plants (1,537.70 centimeters) was observed in the treatment group with fermented bio-extract from egg, while the groups with fermented bio-extract from banana shoot and chemical fertilizer exhibited the lowest mean heights at 1,288.80 and 1,310.50 centimeters, respectively. The largest mean stem diameter (6.59 centimeters) was observed in the treatment group using fermented bio-extract from fruit. On the contrary, the treatment group using chemical fertilizer had the lowest mean stem diameter at 5.46 centimeters. No statistically significant difference was observed in leaf width, leaf length and number of leaves between the different treatment groups (p>0.05). Moreover, at harvest the diameter of fruit and the weight of melons from all treatment groups were not statistically different (p<0.05). The highest sweetness of melons were 13.75 brix when they obtained from fermented bio-extract from banana shoot and 13.09 brix with fermented bio-extract from fruit
