Abstract
การวิจัยครั้งนี้มีวัตถุประสงค์เพื่อศึกษา (1) สภาพทางสังคมและเศรษฐกิจของเกษตรกร (2) ความรู้เกี่ยวกับการผลิตข้าวของเกษตรกร (3) สภาพการผลิตข้าวของเกษตรกร (4) ความต้องการส่งเสริมการเกษตรของเกษตรกร และ (5) ปัญหาและข้อเสนอแนะเกี่ยวกับการผลิตข้าวของเกษตรกร ผลการวิจัย พบว่า (1) เกษตรกรส่วนมากเป็นเพศหญิง อายุเฉลี่ย 48.39 ปี จบการศึกษาระดับมัธยมศึกษาตอนปลายหรือปวช. และประถมศึกษาปีที่ 4 สมาชิกในครัวเรือนเฉลี่ย 3.72 คน เป็นสมาชิกกลุ่มลูกค้า ธกส.และกลุ่มสหกรณ์การเกษตร ประสบการณ์ในการผลิตข้าวเฉลี่ย 17.78 ปี ได้รับข้อมูลข่าวสารจากเจ้าหน้าที่ส่งเสริมการเกษตร การถือครองที่ดินเป็นของตนเองและเช่าผู้อื่น แหล่งทุนเป็นทุนตนเองและกู้จากสหกรณ์การเกษตร เหตุผลในการเข้าอบรม ต้องการลดต้นทุนการผลิตข้าว การผลิตข้าวในรอบปี จำนวน 2 ครั้ง ขนาดพื้นที่ในการผลิตข้าวเฉลี่ย 29.22ไร่ จำนวนแรงงานในครัวเรือนที่ร่วมผลิตข้าวเฉลี่ย 2.12 คน จำนวนแรงงานที่จ้างในการผลิตข้าว 3.87 คน ลักษณะการผลิตข้าวทำเองและจ้าง (2) ความรู้เกี่ยวกับการผลิตข้าวของเกษตรกร ส่วนใหญ่มีความรู้เกี่ยวกับปุ๋ย แมลง และการเตรียมดิน แต่ในเรื่องของฮอร์โมนหรือสมุนไพรยังมีความรู้ที่น้อย (3) เมื่อเข้าร่วมโรงเรียนชาวนาแล้ว เกษตรกรมีการเปลี่ยนแปลงในเรื่องต่อไปนี้ หมักฟางด้วยจุลินทรีย์หน่อกล้วย คลุกเมล็ดพันธุ์ข้าวงอกด้วยสมุนไพรรสขม ระบายน้ำให้แห้งก่อนเก็บเกี่ยวข้าว 15 วัน ฉีดพ่นฮอร์โมนหัวปลี ฉีดจุลินทรีย์ปรามโรค ตรวจนับแมลงก่อนการใช้สารกำจัดศัตรูข้าว และเก็บเกี่ยวข้าวในระยะพลับพลึง มีต้นทุนการผลิตต่อไร่ลดลง 351.27 บาท โดยมีความแตกต่างอย่างมีนัยสำคัญทางสถิติ (4) เกษตรกรต้องการการส่งเสริมผ่านช่องทางสื่อบุคคล คือ เจ้าหน้าที่ส่งเสริมการเกษตร สื่อสิ่งพิมพ์ คือ คู่มือ และสื่ออิเล็กทรอนิกส์ คือ โทรทัศน์ วิธีการส่งเสริม เกษตรกรต้องการการฝึกอบรม และให้บริการสนับสนุนข่าวสารวิชาการ เทคโนโลยี ใหม่ๆ และ (5) ปัญหาและข้อเสนอแนะ คือ ต้องการจะทำการผลิตข้าวตามรูปแบบโรงเรียนชาวนาแต่ขาดแคลนวัตถุดิบ ขาดแคลนแรงงานรับจ้างและไม่สามารถเก็บเกี่ยวในระยะพลับพลึงได้ จึงควรมีการรวมกลุ่มกันในพื้นนาใกล้เคียงเพื่อวางแผนจัดหาวัตถุดิบ แรงงานรับจ้าง การผลิต ตลอดจนการเก็บเกี่ยวและการตลาด ซึ่งจะทาให้มีอำนาจในการต่อรองเพิ่มมากขึ้น
The objectives of this research were to study (1) social and economic status of farmers, (2) knowledge of farmers on rice production, (3) the situations of rice production by farmers, (4) agricultural extension needs of farmers, and (5) problems and suggestions of farmers on rice production. The population in this study was 120 farmers in Chai Nat Province who participated in the Farmer Field School of Chai Nat Province in the year of 2013-2015. The 93 samples were selected by using simple random sampling methodology. The data were collected by interviewing the farmers. The statistical methodology used to analyze the data was frequency, percentage, minimum value, maximum value, mean, standard deviation, and t-test. The findings of this study were as follows: (1) most of the farmers were female with average age of 48.39 years. Most of them were educated at upper secondary level, vocational certificate, and lower primary level. The average number of household member was 3.72 persons. They were members of the Bank for Agriculture and Agricultural Cooperatives and members of agricultural cooperatives. The average experience in rice production was 17.78 years. They had received agricultural information from agricultural extensionists. Some of the land used for rice farming belonged to them, while some of it was rented. They used their own capital in rice farming, had some loans from an agricultural cooperatives. They participated in training courses of the Farmer Field School because they would like to reduce the cost of rice production. They had rice production twice a year. Their average farming area was 29.22 rai (1 rai = 1,600 square meters. The average household labor in rice farming was 2.12 persons, while the average number of hired labor was 3.87 persons. They did rice farming themselves plus hiring some labors. (2) Most of them had knowledge of rice production in the aspects of fertilizer application, insect control, and soil preparation, but they had a little knowledge of hormone or herb application. (3) After attending the training courses of the Farmer Field School, there were some changes in the rice production, such as fermenting rice straws with banana shoot bacteria, mixing seedlings tribe seeds with bitter herbs, draining their rice fields 15 days before harvesting, spraying the produce with banana inflorescence hormone and bacteria/microorganism to prevent the produce from plant diseases, counting the number of insects before using chemical substances to control rice pests, and harvesting the produce at “Plub Puang” phrase. The production cost could be reduced 351.27 Baht/rai statically significant differences; (4) They needed an agricultural extension through various channels, such as agricultural extension officials who were personal media, brochures which were printing media, and television which was a kind of electronics media. They also needed a training course, updated knowledge, and technology transfer. Furthermore (5) the farmers had problems that they would like to do as they had learned, but they had lack of raw materials and hired labor to harvest the produce at “Plub Puang” phrase. They suggested that they should have united with their neighbors to collect raw materials and hired labor, plan rice production, harvesting, and marketing in order that they would have more bargaining power.
