Abstract
การวิจัยครั้งนี้มีวัตถุประสงค์เพื่อศึกษา (1) การมีส่วนร่วมทางการเมืองของประชาชน
เทศบาลเมืองแสนสุข อำเภอเมือง จังหวัดชลบุรี (2) ปัจจัยที่มีผลต่อการมีส่วนร่วมทางการเมือง (3) ปัญหาและอุปสรรคต่อการมีส่วนร่วมทางการเมือง (4) แนวทางแก้ไขปัญหาและอุปสรรคต่อการมีส่วนร่วมทางการเมือง กลุ่มตัวอย่างได้แก่ ประชาชนผู้มีสิทธิเสือกตั้งในเขตเทศบาลเมืองแสนสุข อำเภอเมือง จังหวัดชลบุรี จำนวน 380 คน แบบสอบถามที่ใช้ในการรวบรวมข้อมูลมีค่าความเชื่อมั่น .843 สถิติที่ใช้ในการวิเคราะห์ข้อมูล ได้แก่ ร้อยละ ค่าเฉลี่ย ค่าเบี่ยงเบนมาตรฐานค่าไคสแควธ์
ผลการวิจัยสรุปได้ดังนี้ (1) การมีส่วนร่วมทางการเมืองของประชาชนอยู่ในระดับมาก คือการเลือกตั้งเป็นกิจกรรมสำคัญของการมีส่วนร่วมทางการเมือง (2) ปัจจัยส่วนบุคคลด้านการศึกษามีความสัมพันธ์กับการมีส่วนร่วมทางการเมืองของประชาชนอย่างมีนัยสำคัญทางสถิติที่ระดับ.05นอกนั้นไม่มีความสัมพันธ์กัน (3) ปัญหาและอุปสรรคต่อการมีส่วนร่วมทางการเมือง ได้แก่ ประชาชนในท้องถิ่นมีฐานะยากจน ต้องหารายได้เลี้ยงชีวิตตนเองและครอบครัว ประชาชนในท้องถิ่นขาดความรู้ความเข้าใจการมีส่วนร่วมทางการเมือง (4) แนวทางแก้ไขปัญหาและอุปสรรคต่อการมีส่วนร่วมทางการเมือง ได้แก่ นักการเมืองต้องมีจริยธรรม มีความพร้อมที่จะเป็นตัวแทนของประชาชน ผู้บริหารพัฒนาเศรษฐกิจในท้องถิ่น ส่งเสริมให้ประชาชนมีอาชีพมั่นคงมีรายได้เพิ่มขึ้น
The purpose of this research was to study following four steps : (1) the political participation in Saensuk Municipality, Amphoe Mueang, Chonburi; (2) the factors affecting political participation; (3) the problems and hindrances of political participation; (4) Solutions to the problems of political participation. The sample consisted of 380 people having a voting right in Saensuk Municipality, Amphoe Mueang, Chonburi. The reliability of questionnaire was .843. In addition, statistical methods used for analyzing the data were percentage, mean, standard deviation and chi-square. It was concluded that (1) people’s political participation was highly rated with was a election crucial activity; (2) the factor of individual education was significantly related to people’s political participation at a .05 level but the rest was not; (3) the problems and hindrances of political participation were people’s lack of knowledge in political participation; and (4) solutions to the problems were that politicians must possess ethics and be ready to represent their people. Administrators should develop local economy, enhancing people to have secure jobs and boosting their income
