การพัฒนาแบบจำลองเครือข่ายทางสังคมเพื่อเพิ่มผลผลิตงานวิจัยของอาจารย์ในมหาวิทยาลัยวิจัยไทย

Abstract

การวิจัยนี้มีวัตถุประสงค์เพื่อ (1) ศึกษาสภาพการผลิตผลงานวิจัยของอาจารย์ในมหาวิทยาลัยวิจัยไทย (2) ศึกษาเครือข่ายทางสังคมที่เอื้อต่อการผลิตผลงานวิจัยของอาจารย์ในมหาวิทยาลัยวิจัยไทย และ (3) พัฒนาแบบจำลองเครือข่ายทางสังคมที่เหมาะสมต่อการเพิ่มผลผลิตงานวิจัยของอาจารย์ในมหาวิทยาลัยวิจัยไทยการวิจัยครั้งนี้เป็นการวิจัยแบบผสมผสาน กลุ่มตัวอย่างจำนวน 82 ราย คัดเลือกแบบเจาะจงจากประชากรอาจารย์ในมหาวิทยาลัยวิจัยไทย จำนวน 9 แห่ง ที่มีผลผลิตงานวิจัยสูงสุดในสาขาวิชาต่างๆ จำนวน 26 สาขาวิชา จากฐานข้อมูลสากล Scopus เครื่องมือที่ใช้ในการวิจัย ได้แก่ แบบสำรวจผลงานวิจัย แบบสำรวจเครือข่ายผู้แต่งร่วม และแบบสัมภาษณ์เชิงลึกแบบกึ่งมีโครงสร้าง การวิเคราะห์ข้อมูลผลงานวิจัยเชิงปริมาณใช้วิธีการทางบรรณมิติการวิเคราะห์ข้อมูลสัมภาษณ์เชิงลึกใช้การวิเคราะห์เนื้อหาแบบอุปนัยผลการวิจัยพบว่า (1) ผลผลิตงานวิจัยขอประเทศไทย ระหว่าง พ.ศ. 2464-2555 มีจำนวน 99,190 เรื่อง และมีแนวโน้มเพิ่มขึ้น ผลผลิตงานวิจัยส่วนใหญ่หรือร้อยละ 71.6 มาจากอาจารย์มหาวิทยาลัยวิจัยไทยทั้ง 9 แห่ง (2) เครือข่ายทางสังคมของอาจารย์มหาวิทยาลัยวิจัยไทยที่มีผลผลิตงานวิจัยสูง ประกอบด้วยปัจจัยต่างๆ ที่เกี่ยวข้อง จำนวน 13 ปัจจัย (3) แบบจำลองเครือข่ายทางสังคมที่เหมาะสมต่อการเพิ่มผลผลิตงานวิจัย ประกอบด้วยผู้แต่งร่วม จำนวน 14 ประเภท ปัจจัยที่เกี่ยวข้องกับเครื่อข่ายทางสังคม ในแง่ของความร่วมมือด้านการวิจัยและความเป็นผู้แต่งร่วมจำนวน 7 ปัจจัยและปัจจัยแห่งความสำเร็จที่ส่งผลต่อการผลิตผลงานวิจัยโดยตรง จำนวน 4 ปัจจัยผู้แต่งร่วมที่สำคัญที่สุด ได้แก่ อาจารย์มหาวิทยาลัยไทย นักศึกษาปัจจุบัน ศิษย์เก่าซึ่งปัจจุบันเป็นอาจารย์ และอาจารย์มหาวิทยาลัยต่างประเทศ ปัจจัยที่สำคัญที่สุด ได้แก่ ความสัมพันธ์ส่วนตัวระหว่างบุคคล และลักษณะเฉพาะบุคคล หรือบุคลิกภาพของอาจารย์มหาวิทยาลัยวิจัยไทย

The objectives of this study were to (1) explore the status of research productivity in Thai research universities; (2) study social networks related to research productivity of faculty members in Thai research universities; and (3) develop a suitable social network model to enhance research productivity. This study employed mixed methods of research. The population consisted of faculty members from 9 research universities in Thailand who were the most prolific authors from 26 subject categories classified according to the Scopus Database. Purposive sampling was used to select 82 participants. The instruments used were the publication survey form, the co-authorship survey form and the semi structured in-depth interview guide. Data were collected from the Scopus database and quantitatively analyzed using a bibliometrics approach. In-depth interviews were qualitatively analyzed using an inductive content analysis. The research findings were (1) for research publications of Thailand there were 99,190 articles during 1921-2013. Most publications from Thailand were by faculty members from 9 research universities; (2) social networks of the most prolific authors from the 9 research universities were comprised of 13 related factors; (3) the suitable social network model to enhance research productivity was comprised of 14 types of co-authors, 7 factors regarding research collaboration and co-authorship, 4 success factors directly led to research productivity. The most important co-authors were faculty members from Thai universities, current students, alumni who became faculty members, and faculty members from foreign universities. The most important factors were the personalities of the faculty members of Thai research universities and personal relationships with their co-authors.
