การวิจัยครั้งนี้มีวัตถุประสงค์ (1) เพื่อศึกษาความ (ความเข้าใจในเรื่องประชาธิปไตย
แบบมีส่วนร่วมของกลุ่มอาสาสมัครสาธารณสุข (อสม.) (2) เพื่อศึกษาปัจจัยที่มีผลต่อความรู้ความเข้าใจในเรื่องประชาธิปไตยแบบมีส่วนร่วมของกลุ่มอาสาสมัครสาธารณสุข (อสม.) (3) เพื่อศึกษาผลทางการเมืองที่เกิดขึ้นตามมาของกลุ่มอาสาสมัครสาธารณสุข (อสม.) (4) เพื่อศึกษาความสัมพันธ์ระหว่างความรู้ความเข้าใจในเรื่องประชาธิปไตยแบบมีส่วนร่วมกับผลทางการเมืองที่เกิดขึ้นตามมาของกลุ่มอาสาสมัครสาธารณสุข (อสม.) ผลการวิจัยพบว่า (1) กลุ่มตัวอย่างมีความรู้ความเข้าใจในเรื่องประชาธิปไตยแบบมีส่วนร่วมอยู่ในระดับมาก (2) ปัจจัยด้านการเป็นผู้นำท้องถิ่นมีความสัมพันธ์กับความรู้ความเข้าใจในเรื่องประชาธิปไตยแบบมีส่วนร่วมอย่างมีนัยสำคัญทางสถิติที่ระดับ .05 ส่วนปัจจัยส่วนบุคคลและปัจจัยด้านการรับรู้ข่าวสารทางการเมืองไม่มีความสัมพันธ์กับความรู้ความเข้าใจในเรื่องประชาธิปไตยแบบมีส่วนร่วม (3) ผลทางการเมืองที่เกิดขึ้นตามมาในภาพรวม พบว่า อยู่ในระดับ
ปานกลาง โดยประชาชนแสดงออกถึงความพึงพอใจผู้แทนของตน โดยการออกไปใช้สิทธ์เลือกตั้งเพิ่มมากขึ้น(4) ความรู้ความเข้าใจในเรื่องประชาธิปไตยแบบมีส่วนร่วมมีความสัมพันธ์กับผลทางการเมืองที่เกิดขึ้นตามมาอย่างมีนัยสำคัญทางสถิติที่ระดับ .05
The objectives of this research were to study: (1) the knowledge and understanding of participatory democracy of village health volunteers; (2) factors that affected the knowledge and understanding of participatory democracy of village health volunteers; (3) the political impact of the village health volunteers; and (4) the relationship between knowledge and understanding of participatory democracy and the political impact. The results showed that: (1) the sample had a high level of knowledge and understanding about participatory democracy. (2) The factor of being a local leader was related to knowledge and understanding of participatory democracy to a statistically significant level of .05. Personal factors and the factor of exposure to political news were not found to be related to knowledge and understanding of participatory democracy. (3) Overall, the political impact of the village health volunteers was medium. Citizens expressed their satisfaction with their representatives by using their rights to vote to a greater extent. (4) Knowledge and understanding of participatory democracy was related to the political impact to a statistically significant level of .05.
