Abstract
การวิจัยครั้งนี้มีวัตถุประสงค์เพื่อ (1) ศึกษาทักษะในการสื่อสาร ขีดความสามารถด้านความปลอดภัย และระดับของการจัดการความปลอดภัยของพยาบาลประจำการ (2) ศึกษาความสัมพันธ์ระหว่างทักษะในการสื่อสาร ขีดความสามารถด้านความปลอดภัย กับ การจัดการความปลอดภัยของพยาบาลประจำการ และ (3) ศึกษาตัวแปรที่ร่วมพยากรณ์การจัดการความปลอดภัยของพยาบาลประจำการโรงพยาบาลมหาวิทยาลัยในคำกับของรัฐ กรุงเทพมหานคร ประชากรในการศึกษาครั้งนี้เป็นพยาบาลประจำการที่ปฎิบัติงานในหอผู้ป่วยใน โรงพยาบาลมหาวิทยาลัยในกำกับของรัฐ แห่งหนึ่ง คำนวณขนาดตัวอย่างโดยใช้ Power analysis และสุ่มตัวอย่างแบบแบ่งชั้น ได้กลุ่มตัวอย่าง จำนวน 180 คน เครื่องมือที่ใช้ในการวิจัยเป็นแบบสอบถามที่ผู้วิจัยสร้างขึ้นจาก
การทบทวนวรรณกรรมที่เกี่ยวข้อง แบ่งเป็น 4 ส่วน คือ 1) แบบบันทึกข้อมูลส่วนบุคคล 2) แบบสอบถามทักษะในการสื่อสาร 3) แบบสอบถามขีดความสามารถด้านความปลอดภัย และ 4) แบบสอบถามการจัดการความปลอดภัยของพยาบาล ตรวจสอบความตรงตามเนื้อหาจากผู้ทรงคุณวุฒิ จำนวน 5 ท่าน ได้ค่าดัชนีความตรงตามเนื้อหาของแบบสอบถาม (S-CVI) ส่วนที่ 2, 3 และ 4 เท่ากับ .80, .89 และ .88 ตามลำดับ ค่าสัมประสิทธิ์อัลฟาของครอนบราค ของแบบสอบถาม ส่วนที่ 2, 3 และ 4 เท่ากับ .93, .93 และ .89 ตามลำดับวิเคราะห์ข้อมูลโดยการแจกแจงความถี่ ร้อยละ ค่าเฉลี่ย ส่วนเที่ยงเบนมาตรฐานสัมประสิทธิ์สหสัมพันธ์เพียร์สัน และการถดถอยพหุคูณแบบเข้าพร้อมกัน ผลการวิจัยพบว่า (1) ค่าเฉลี่ยคะแนนทักษะในการสื่อสาร ขีดความสามารถด้านความปลอดภัย และ การจัดการความปลอดภัยของพยาบาลประจำการโดยรวมอยู่ในระดับสูง (2) ทักษะในการสื่อสาร และ ขีดความสามารถด้านความปลอดภัยมีความสัมพันธ์ทางบวกกับการจัดการความปลอดภัยของพยาบาลประจำการในระดับปานกลาง และระดับสูง อย่างมีนัยสำคัญทางสถิติที่ระดับ 0.05 (r = 0.42, 0.52 ตามลำดับ) (3) ทักษะในการสื่อสาร และขีดความสามารถด้านความปลอดภัยสามารถร่วมกันพยากรณ์การจัดการความปลอดภัยของพยาบาลประจำการได้ร้อยละ 27.4 (R2 = .274)
The purposes of this research were: (1) to study communication skills safety competency, and the level of patient safety management, (2) to study relationships between communication skills, safety competency, and patient safety management, and (3) to explore factors predicting the patient safety management of staff nurses at an autonomous university hospital in Bangkok metropolis. The population of this study comprised 180 staff nurses who worked at In-patient units in an autonomous university hospital. The sample size was calculated by power analysis. They were selected by the stratified random sampling technique. Questionnaires, developed by the researcher, were used as research instruments consisting of four parts: personal data form, communication skills, safety competency, and patient safety management. Content validity was verified by five experts and the Scale - Content Validity Index were .80,89, and .88 respectively. The Cronbach’s alpha reliability coefficients of the second to the fourth parts of questionnaires were .93, .93, and .89 respectively. Data were analyzed by using frequency, percentage, mean, standard deviation, Pearson’s product moment correlation coefficient and multiple regressions analysis. The research findings were as follows. (1) Staff nurses rated their communication skills, safety competency, and patient safety management at the high level. (2) There were significantly positive correlations between communication skills (r = 0.42, p < .05) and safety competency (r = 0.52, p < .05) with patient safety management at the moderate and the high level respectively, (3) Both communication skills and safety competency accounted for 27.4% of variance of patient safety management and of staff nurses (R2 = .274).
