Abstract
งานวิจัยนี้มีวัตถุประสงค์เพื่อศึกษาผลของการยับยั้งเชื้อราด้วยสารสกัดจากสมุนไพรทองพันชั่งและข่า บนก้านผักตบชวา เพื่อเป็นทางเลือกใช้แทนกำมะถันและสารเคมี วิธีการดำเนินการวิจัยเริ่มจากศึกษาการเกิดเชื้อราที่มองเห็นด้วยตาเปล่าเท่านั้น ภายใต้สภาวะ เร่งที่ 99 %RH, 30.25+1.05 °C เป็นระยะเวลา 13 วัน พบว่า ทองพันชั่งสามารถยับยั้งเชื้อราได้ดีกว่าข่า 30.70% และกำมะถัน 39.08% ส่วนข่าจะยับยั้งเชื้อราได้ดีกว่ากำมะถัน 8.38% และ งานวิจัยนี้แสดงผลของปัจจัยต่างๆ ที่มีผลต่อการยับยั้งเชื้อราของสารสกัดจากผงสมุนไพรทั้ง 2 ชนิด เพื่อให้สามารถยับยั้งเชื้อราได้อย่างสูงสุด ได้แก่ ระดับความแห้งของก้านผักตบชวาที่กึ่งแห้งและแห้งสนิท, ขนาดความกว้างของก้านผักตบชวา 2 ขนาด ได้แก่ 5-6 มม. และ 8-10 มม. ที่ความยาว 70 มม. ระยะเวลาของการสกัด (1, 2, 3 และ 7 วัน) ระยะเวลาของการแช่ก้านผักตบชวา (30, 60 และ 120 นาที) และปริมาณการใช้ผงสมุนไพร (15, 30, 45, 60 และ 75 กรัม) ในการสกัดด้วยน้ำต้มสุก 100 °C ปริมาตร 300 มล.
ผลการศึกษาพบว่า สภาวะของการเตรียมก้านผักตบชวาและน้ำสารสกัดที่มีประสิทธิภาพ ในการยับยั้งเชื้อราดีที่สุด คือ ก้านผักตบชวาแบบแห้งสนิท ที่ผ่านการแช่ก้านเป็นเวลา 120 นาที ในน้ำสารสกัดที่ได้จากการใช้ผงสมุนไพรทองพันชั่ง และข่า 75 กรัม และสกัดเป็นเวลา 2 วัน และ 3 วัน โดยที่ขนาดก้านผักตบชวาจะไม่มีผลต่อประสิทธิภาพของการยับยั้งเชื้อรา ซึ่งการเพิ่มปริมาณผงสมุนไพรของทองพันชั่ง และข่า และการเพิ่มระยะเวลาในการสกัดของทองพันชั่ง จะทำให้เกิดเชื้อราสมบูรณ์ 100% ช้าลง การพิจารณาถึงการใช้งาน พบว่า ก้านผักตบชวาที่ผ่านการแช่ในน้ำสารสกัดจะมีค่ามอดุลัสของ ยัง และ ความแข็งแรงแรงดึงลดลงเมื่อเทียบกับก้านผักตบชวาที่ไม่ผ่านการแช่ การทดสอบการใช้งานโดยการถักขึ้นรูปด้วยมือจากผู้เชี่ยวชาญ 10 ท่าน พบว่าก้านผักตบชวาที่ผ่านการแช่น้ำสารสกัดไม่แตกต่างกันกับก้านผักตบชวาที่ไม่ผ่านการแช่น้ำสารสกัด ผลที่ได้รับจากงานวิจัยนี้สามารถนำไปใช้ยับยั้งเชื้อรา ในบรรจุภัณฑ์ธรรมชาติในระดับรัฐวิสาหกิจชุมชน หรือ ผู้ประกอบการ SME ได้ เนื่องจากมีกรรมวิธีการผลิตที่ไม่ซับซ้อน ประยุกต์ใช้งานได้จริง และต้นทุนต่ำ
This research study is the effect of antifungal activity of Rhinacanthus nasutus (L.) kruzand Alpinia galanga extracts on water hyacinth (Eichhornia crassipes) to substitute for sulphur and chemicals. The antifungal activity against only visible fungus under 99 %RH, 30.25± 1.05 ˚C accelerated condition for 13 days. It is found that Rhinacanthus nasutus (L.) kruzcan reduced the mycelium growth more than Alpinia galanga 30.70% and sulphur 39.08% but Alpinia galanga was better than Sulphur 8.38%. This research showed other factors effective on antifungal activity such as drying level and size of water hyacinth with the length of 70 mm. and two sizes of width, 5-6 mm. and 8-10 mm., extraction time (1, 2, 3 and 7 days) soaking times (30, 60, and 120 minutes) and amounts of herbs powder (5, 30, 45, 60 and 75 g.) in 100 ˚C, 300 ml. boiled water. The result showed that the best extract preparation condition was completely dry water hyacinth soak for 120 minutes in solution from 75 g. powder of extracted Alpinia galanga and Rhinacanthus nasutus (L.) kruzwith 2 and 3 days extraction time respectively and the sizing of water hyacinth did not affect to antifungal activity. The increasing of amount Rhinacanthus nasutus (L.) kruzand Alpinia galanga and more extraction time of only Rhinacanthus nasutus (L.) kruzwill decreased 100% fungus growth. The Young’s Modulus and Tensile strength of water hyacinth fiber soaked in herb solution decreased more than these of pure water hyacinth fiber. Usability test with manual forming from 10 experts in formed that the soaking water hyacinth fiber in herb solution was not significantly different from pure water hyacinth fiber. The contribution of this research can be applied to inhibit fungus in natural packaging material in the section with household production level or SME entrepreneurs. The process is not complicated, practical applications, and low-cost process
