Abstract
การวิจัยนี้มีวัตถุประสงค์เพื่อศึกษา
(1) สภาพสังคมและเศรษฐกิจของเกษตรกร
(2) ความรู้ความเข้าใจของเกษตรกรเกี่ยวกับการผลิตข้าว
(3) สภาพการผลิตข้าวของเกษตรกร
(4) ความต้องการการส่งเสริมการผลิตข้าวของเกษตรกร และ
(5) ปัญหาและข้อเสนอแนะในการส่งเสริมการผลิตข้าวของเกษตรกร ผลการวิจัยพบว่า
(1) เกษตรกรที่ให้สัมภาษณ์มากกว่าครึ่งเป็นเพศชาย อายุเฉลี่ย 50.35 ปี จบการศึกษาระดับประถมศึกษา ประสบการณ์ทานาเฉลี่ย 20.69 ปี ขนาดพื้นที่ทานาเฉลี่ย 34.29 ไร่ จำนวนแรงงานในครัวเรือนเฉลี่ย 2.3 คน ระดับการรับรู้ข้อมูลข่าวสารด้านการผลิตข้าวจากแหล่งต่าง ๆในภาพรวระดบบัน้อย โดยได้รับข้อมูลจากสื่อบุคคลมากที่สุดโดยจากผู้นำชุมชน รองลงมาได้แก่ สื่อกลุ่ม สื่อมวลชน และสื่อเทคโนโลยีสารสนเทศ ตามลำดับ
(2) เกษตรกรประมาณ 2 ใน 3 มีความรู้ความเข้าใจเกี่ยวกับการผลิตข้าวในระดับปานกลาง
(3) เกษตรกรผลิตข้าวโดยวิธีการหว่านน้าตม ใช้เมล็ดันธุ์อุัตราไร่ละ 25 กิโลกรัม มีการใส่ปุ๋ย 2 ครั้ง ศัตรูข้าวที่พบมาก คือโรคขอบใบแห้ง หนอนห่อใบข้าว หญ้าดอกขาว และหนู
(4) เกษตรกรทานามีความต้องการการส่งเสริมการผลิตข้าวในภาพรวมระดับมาก โดยเรียงลำดับความต้องการจากมากไปน้อย ดังนี้ ด้านความรู้ในการผลิตข้าว มีความต้องการในระดับมาก โดยต้องการความรู้ด้านการดูแลรักษามากที่สุดในประเด็น การป้องกันกำจัดโรคแมลงศัตรูข้าว รองลงมาคือการป้องกันกำจัดวัชพืช ด้านการสนับสนุน มีความต้องการในระดับมาก โดยต้องการมากที่สุดในประเด็น การสนับสนุนปัจจัยการผลิต รองลงมาคือเจ้าหน้าที่ติดตามให้คำแนะนำสม่ำเสมอ ด้านการตลาดมีความต้องการในระดับมาก โดยต้องการมากที่สุดในประเด็น การจัดหาตลาดรับซื้อข้าว/ตลาดกลาง รองลงมาคือการวางแผนการผลิต และด้านวิธีการส่งเสริมการผลิตข้าว มีความต้องการในระดับปานกลาง โดยต้องการวิธีส่งเสริมการเกษตรแบบรายบุคคลมากที่สุด ได้แก่ การไปพบเจ้าหน้าที่ด้วยตัวเอง รองลงมาคือวิธีส่งเสริมการเกษตรแบบกลุ่ม ได้แก่ การจัดอบรมและฝึกปฏิบัติ และวิธีการส่งเสริมการเกษตรแบบสื่อมวลชนมีความต้องการน้อยที่สุด ได้แก่ โปรแกรม/แอปพลิเคชัน และ
(5) เกษตรกรมีปัญหาในระดับมากที่สุด ได้แก่ ราคาผลผลิตข้าวมีแนวโน้มลดลง ที่นาเสี่ยงต่อภัยธรรมชาติ เจ้าของโรงสีหรือพ่อค้าคนกลางกดราคา ด้านข้อเสนอแนะในการส่งเสริมการผลิตข้าว หน่วยงานราชการควรช่วยเหลือให้ราคาข้าวสูงขึ้น และควรบริหารจัดการนำให้เพียงพอกับการทำการเกษตร
The objectives of this research were to study 1) social and economic status of farmers, (2) knowledge and understanding of farmers in rice production, (3) the situations of rice production by farmers, (4) the extension needs of farmers for rice production, and (5) the problems and suggestions of farmers on the extension of rice production. The population in this study was 703 farmers being registered in 2014/2015 as the farmers who had in-season rice farming; they officially lived and had rice farming area in Don Phut District of Saraburi Province. The sample size was determined by using Taro Yamane formula, 158 samples were selected by using simple random sampling methodology. The data were collected by using interviewed questionnaire. The statistical methodology was used to analyze the data by computerized program incluidng frequency, percentage, mean, minimum value, maximum value, and standard deviation. The findings of this study were as follows: (1) more than a half of the interviewed farmers were male, with average age of 50.35 years; they were educated at primary level; the average experience in rice farming was 20.69 years; more than a half of them had their own land for rice farming along with some rented land; the average of rice farming area was 34.29 rai (1 rai = 1,600 square meters); and the average household labor was 2.3 persons. They had generally received information on rice production at low level from various sources; they received information from personal media at the most level, such as community leaders, besides, they had received information from group media, mass media, information technology/IT media respectively. (2) Two-thirds of farmers had knowledge and understanding of rice production at moderate level. (3) All of farmers conducted wet seeded rice production, used 25 kilograms of seeds per rai and applied fertilizer twice; the most of pest were found including bacterial leaf blight, rice leaffolder, little ironweed, and rodent. (4) The farmers generally needed the extension of rice production at high level. Their needs could be arranged from high needs to low as follows: the needs for the knowledge of rice production was at high level, which the highest needs were the knowledge of pest control and weed control respectively. They needed to be supported at high level, the highest level was the needs of production inputs, and the high level of needs were the follow up and advisement regularly of the agricultural extensionist. They needs in marketing support was at high level, the needs for marketplaces/rice center was at the highest level, the needs for the rice production planning was also high,too. The methods of the extension of rice production were at moderate level, they needed to be supported individually at highest level, for example, they would like to meet agricultural extensionist themselves. They also needed to be supported via group, for example training courses and practice should be organized for them. Hence, they needed to be supported in the form of mass media at lowest level, for example program/applications for agriculture. Furthermore (5) the farmers generally had problems at the highest level, such as the trend of price to be decreased, the risk of natural disasters, and price controlled by mill owners or middlemen. They suggested that the public agency should support rice production by increasing price of rice and the water supply should be sufficient for rice farming.
