Abstract
การวิจัยครั้งนี้มีวัตถุประสงค์เพื่อศึกษา 1) บริบททางประวัติศาสตร์ที่ส่งผลต่อพระบาทสมเด็จพระจอมเกล้าเจ้าอยู่หัวในพระราชสถานะที่ทรงเป็นผู้ส่งสารระหว่างพระมหากษัตริย์กับประชาชนผ่านประกาศพระราชนิพนธ์ และ 2) ประเด็นการสื่อสารและวิธีการสื่อสารระหว่างพระมหากษัตริย์และประชาชนผ่านประกาศพระราชนิพนธ์ในพระบาทสมเด็จพระจอมเกล้าเจ้าอยู่หัว การวิจัยครั้งนี้เป็นการวิจัยเชิงคุณภาพ โดยใช้วิธีการวิเคราะห์เอกสารที่เกี่ยวข้องกับประวัติศาสตร์ไทยระหว่าง พ.ศ.2347–2411 และการสัมภาษณ์เชิงลึกผู้ทรงคุณวุฒิที่เชี่ยวชาญด้านประวัติศาสตร์ นิเทศศาสตร์ และคติชนวิทยา จํานวน 4 ท่าน เพื่อเป็นการยืนยันความน่าเชื่อถือของผลการศึกษา เครื่องมือที่ใช้ในการวิจัย คือ แบบวิเคราะห์เอกสาร และแบบสัมภาษณ์เชิงลึก และวิเคราะห์ข้อมูลโดยการสร้างข้อสรุป ผลการวิจัยพบว่า 1) บริบททางประวัติศาสตร์ที่ส่งผลต่อพระบาทสมเด็จพระจอมเกล้าเจ้าอยู่หัวในพระราชสถานะของการเป็นผู้ส่งสาร ได้แก่ (1) ประวัติศาสตร์ภายในประเทศ ประกอบด้วยประสบการณ์เมื่อทรง เป็นสมเด็จเจ้าฟ้า และการเรียนรู้วิทยาการและการใกล้ชิดกับประชาชนเมื่อครั้งยังทรงพระผนวช และ (2) ประวัติศาสตร์ระหว่างประเทศ ประกอบด้วยการขยายตัวของลัทธิจักรวรรดินิยมและการเปิดเสรีทางการค้าบริบทดังกล่าวข้างต้นส่งผลให้พระบาทสมเด็จพระจอมเกล้าเจ้าอยู่หัวทรงพระราชนิพนธ์ประกาศฉบับต่าง ๆ เพื่อสื่อสารกับประชาชนโดยตรง ทําให้ประชาชนมีส่วนร่วมในการปรับเปลี่ยนประเทศไปสู่ความทันสมัยได้ตามพระราชประสงค์ และ 2) ประเด็นการสื่อสารผ่านประกาศพระราชนิพนธ์ในพระบาทสมเด็จพระจอมเกล้าเจ้าอยู่หัว แบ่งเป็น 3 ด้าน ได้แก่ เรื่องกฎหมายและสิทธิพลเมืองด้านเศรษฐกิจ ได้แก่ เรื่องกลไกราคาและภาษี และด้าน สังคมและวัฒนธรรม ได้แก่ เรื่องคุณภาพชีวิต การศาสนา ภาษาและศิลปวัฒนธรรม และการพระราชสํานัก วิธีการ สื่อสารผ่านประกาศพระราชนิพนธ์นี้ทรงใช้ลีลาภาษาที่มีชีวิต ชัดเจน ถูกต้อง เหมาะสม สามารถสร้างความ ประทับใจให้แก่ผู้อ่านได้ และทรงใช้โครงสร้างข้อความอันหลากหลายคือการเรียงลําดับเหตุการณ์ พื้นที่ ความสําคัญ เหตุผล แนวทางแก้ไขปัญหา แรงจูงใจ และหัวข้อที่ต้องการจะสื่อสาร นอกจากนี้ยังทรงใช้ภาพพจน์ สองประเภทในการพระราชนิพนธ์ คืออุปมาและอุปลักษณ์ในการพรรณนาความ การใช้วิธีการสื่อสารดังกล่าวนี้ ส่งผลให้ประกาศพระราชนิพนธ์ในพระบาทสมเด็จพระจอมเกล้าเจ้าอยู่หัวเหมาะสมต่อประชาชนผู้รับสารทุกกลุ่มโดยทั่วไป
The objectives of this research were to study: 1) the historical context that affected King Mongkut as a message sender and a monarch communicating written messages to the common people; and 2 ) the topics and methods of communication used in the royal announcements of King Mongkut to his subjects. This was a qualitative study based on analysis of documents about the history of Thailand in the period C.E. 1804 – 1868 (B.E. 2347 – 2411). The validity of the results was confirmed by interviewing 4 experts in the fields of history, communication arts and folklore studies. The research tools were a document analysis form and an in-depth interview form. Data were analyzed by drawing conclusions. The results showed that 1) the historical context that affected King Mongkut as message sender consisted of (1) Thai history, King Mongkut’s experiences as a prince, his education and his closeness to the common people when he was a Buddhist monk; and (2) global history and the expansion of imperialism and free trade. This context influenced King Mongkut to write royal announcements for the purpose of communicating directly with his subjects so that they would participate in changing the kingdom to become more modern in the way he wished. 2) The topics covered in the royal writings fell into 3 main subject areas: laws and citizen’s rights, economics (price mechanisms and taxes) and society and culture (quality of life, religion, language, arts and culture and the royal court). In these written communications, King Mongkut used lively language that was clear, accurate, appropriate and created a good impression on readers. He utilized a variety of structures and artifices, such as chronicles of events, locations, significance, reasons, ways of solving problems, inspiration, and subjects he wanted to communicate. He created two kinds of descriptive imagery: metaphor and simile. This composition style made the royal announcements appropriate for all groups of message receivers
