การวิจัยเชิงสำรวจแบบภาคตัดขวางนี้มีวัตถุประสงค์เพื่อศึกษา (1) การมารับบริการ
วัคซีนพิษสุนัขบ้าหลังสัมผัสโรค (2) ปัจจัยส่วนบุคคล ปัจจัยนำ ปัจจัยเอื้อและปัจจัยสนับสนุน ของ
ผู้มารับบริการวัคซีนพิษสุนัขบ้า และ (3) ปัจจัยที่มีความสัมพันธ์กับการมารับบริการวัคซีนพิษสุนัขบ้า
หลังสัมผัสโรค อำเภอกันทรารมย์ จังหวัดศรีสะเกษ ประชากรเป็นผู้มารับวัคซีนหลังสัมผัสโรค จากข้อมูลปี 2560 จำนวน 2,578 คน คำนวณขนาดตัวอย่าง กรณีทราบสัดส่วนประชากร ได้กลุ่มตัวอย่างจำนวน 335 คน สุ่มตัวอย่างโดยเลือกแบบกำหนดโควต้า เครื่องมือที่ใช้เป็นแบบสอบถาม มีค่าความเที่ยงเฉลี่ยเท่ากับ 0.75 สถิติที่ใช้ในการวิเคราะห์ข้อมูล ได้แก่ ร้อยละ ค่าเฉลี่ย ส่วนเบี่ยงเบนมาตรฐาน พิสัย และไคสแควร์ผลการวิจัยพบว่า (1) ผู้มารับบริการวัคซีนพิษสุนัขบ้าหลังสัมผัสโรค ส่วนใหญ่เป็น
การรับวัคซีนครั้งแรกร้อยละ 70.7 รับวัคซีนครบตามกำหนดนัดร้อยละ 82 (2) ผู้มารับบริการเป็น
เพศหญิงร้อยละ 50.4 อายุเฉลี่ย 44.46 ปี สถานภาพสมรสร้อยละ 54.3 สำเร็จการศึกษาชั้น
มัธยมศึกษาร้อยละ 35.2 อาชีพเกษตรกรร้อยละ 32.8 สิทธิการรักษาบัตรทอง 30 บาทร้อยละ 79.1

This cross-sectional survey research aimed: (1) to study rabies vaccination of recipients after exposure to rabies; (2) to determine personal, predisposing, enabling and reinforcing factors of rabies vaccine recipients; and (3) to determine factors related to receiving post-exposure rabies vaccination among vaccine recipients in Si Sa Ket’s Kanthararom district. The study was conducted in a sample of 335 post-exposure rabies vaccine recipients, selected from all 2,578 such recipients using the quota sampling method. Data were collected using a questionnaire with an average reliability value of 0.75 and then analyzed to determine percentage, mean, standard deviation, range and chi-square value. The results showed that: (1) of rabies vaccine recipients/respondents, 70.7% were first time anti-rabies vaccine recipients and 82% completed a scheduled full course vaccination; (2) among all respondents, 50.4% were female with an average age of 44.46 years, 54.3% were married, 35.2% graduated from high school, 32.8% were farmers and 30.1% were under the Universal Health Coverage Scheme. The average distance from home to hospital was 11.12 km and 48% of all respondents traveled by motorcycle to the hospital, 77.6% were exposed to dog-bites, 73.4% did not know about the animals’ rabies vaccination history, and 62.4% were in WHO rabies exposure category 3. Their predisposing factors (knowledge, attitude, and perception of rabies) were at the moderate level, while enabling factors were at the high level and reinforcing factors at a moderate level; and (3) the factor significantly associated with full course vaccination adherence was the knowledge about rabies and post-exposure vaccination. This research suggests that the people should be educated about rabies, with an emphasis on animal species that can transmit rabies virus to humans, the need to trap the animals after exposure, and proper care for animal-bite wounds to reduce the germ quantities entering the body
