Abstract
การวิจัยนี้มีวัตถุประสงค์เพื่อ (1) ศึกษาการจัดการวารสารสุโขทัยธรรมาธิราชในด้านนโยบาย วัตถุประสงค์ คณะผู้จัดทำ งบประมาณ การจัดพิมพ์และการเผยแพร่ และ (2) วิเคราะห์บทความวารสารสุโขทัยธรรมาธิราช ในด้านผู้เขียน เนื้อหา รูปแบบของบทความที่นำเสนอ และการอ้างอิงของบทความประชากรคือวารสารสุโขทัยธรรมาธิราช ปี ที่ 1 ฉบับที่ 1 เดือนกันยายน-ธันวาคม 2531 ถึงปี ที่ 21 ฉบับที่ 2 กรกฎาคม-ธันวาคม 2551 จำนวน 55 ฉบับ 651 บทความ และคณะผู้จัดทำวารสาร จำนวน 23 คน เครื่องมือการวิจัยคือแบบบันทึกข้อมูลและแบบสัมภาษณ์ การวิเคราะห์ข้อมูลใช้การ
แจกแจงความถี่และหาค่าร้อยละผลการวิจัยพบว่า (1) วารสารสุโขทัยธรรมาธิราชมีการกำหนดนโยบายด้านรูปแบบและการประเมินคุณภาพบทความก่อนตีพิมพ์เผยแพร่ มีวัตถุประสงค์หลักเพื่อเผยแพร่ผลงานทางวิชาการของคณาจารย์ นักวิชาการ และผู้ทรงคุณวุฒิ และเผยแพร่ความรู้ ความก้าวหน้าทางวิชาการและวิชาชีพ คณะผู้จัดทำประกอบด้วยคณะกรรมการวารสารสุโขทัยธรรมาธิราช บรรณาธิการ กองบรรณาธิการ
และผู้จัดการ งบประมาณการจัดทำวารสารจากเงินรายได้ของมหาวิทยาลัย วารสารจัดพิมพ์เผยแพร่ในรูปสื่อสิ่งพิมพ์ (2) ผลการวิเคราะห์บทความวารสารสุโขทัยธรรมาธิราช พบว่าบทความส่วนใหญ่เขียนโดยผู้เขียน 1 คน (ร้อยละ 91.40) ผู้เขียนมีวุฒิการศึกษาสูงสุดปริญญาโท (ร้อยละ 47.64) เป็นผู้สอนในสถาบันอุดมศึกษา (ร้อยละ 66.90) สังกัดมหาวิทยาลัยสุโขทัยธรรมาธิราช (ร้อยละ 50.63) รูปแบบบทความทางวิชาการ (ร้อยละ 79.21) และบทความวิจัย (ร้อยละ 18.11) เนื้อหากลุ่มสาขาวิชา
สังคมศาสตร์ (ร้อยละ 65.75) ด้านสาขาการศึกษา หัวเรื่องย่อยการศึกษาทางไกล (ร้อยละ 10.29) บทความมีการอ้างอิงโดยส่วนใหญ่อ้างอิงหนังสือ (ร้อยละ 52.65) และวารสาร (ร้อยละ 14.23)
The purposes of this research were (1) to study the management of the Sukhothai Thammathirat Open University Journal in terms of policy, objectives, budget, publishing and dissemination; and (2) to analyze the journal in terms of the authors, contents, types of articles and references. The research examined the Sukhothai Thammathirat Open University Journal from 1998 to 2008, which comprised 55 journals and 651 articles. Information recording and interviewing forms were used as research tools. Quantitative data was analyzed using frequency and percentage. The results showed that: (1) the Sukhothai Thammathirat Open University Journal had policies related to types of articles and evaluating the quality of articles before publishing; the main purposes were publishing the academic work of faculty members and experts, the dissemination of knowledge, and academic and professional advancement. The organization committee comprised the STOU Journal board, editor, editorial board and manager; the journal’s budget came from the university. The journal was disseminated in printed form. (2) Most articles were written by one author (91.40%), authors had master’s degrees (47.64%), were instructors in higher education institutions (66.90%) and were affiliated with STOU (50.63%). Most articles were either academic articles (79.21%) or research articles (18.11%); in the field of social sciences (65.75%) with a sub-topic of distance education (10.29%); the articles referenced mostly books (52.65%) and journals (14.23%)
