Abstract
การวิจัยครั้งนี้มีวัตถุประสงค์เพื่อศึกษา (1) วัตถุประสงค์และแรงจูงใจของการเข้ามามีบทบาททางการเมืองตามระบอบประชาธิปไตยของ พลเอกสนธิ บุญยรัตกลิน ในตำแหน่งหัวหน้าพรรคมาตุภูมิ (2) บทบาททางการเมืองตามระบอบประชาธิปไตย ของพลเอกสนธิ บุญยรัตกลิน ในตำแหน่งหัวหน้าพรรคมาตุภูมิ (3) ปัญหาและอุปสรรคของการมีบทบาททางการเมืองตามระบอบประชาธิปไตยของ พลเอกสนธิ บุญยรัตกลิน ในตำแหน่งหัวหน้าพรรคมาตุภูมิ การวิจัยครั้งนี้เป็นการวิจัยเชิงคุณภาพ มีประชากร 5 กลุ่ม ประกอบด้วย นักการเมือง ข้าราชการทหาร กลุ่มสื่อมวลชนสายการเมือง นักวิชาการที่มีความเชี่ยวชาญทางรัฐศาสตร์ และ กลุ่มผู้นำศาสนา คัดเลือกกลุ่มตัวอย่างแบบเฉพาะเจาะจง จำนวน 11 คน สัมภาษณ์เชิงลึก วิเคราะห์ข้อมูลเชิงพรรณนา ผลการศึกษาพบว่า (1) วัตถุประสงค์และแรงจูงใจของการเข้ามามีบทบาททางการเมืองตามระบอบประชาธิปไตยของ พลเอกสนธิ บุญยรัตกลิน ในตำแหน่งหัวหน้าพรรคมาตุภูมินั้น ต้องการเข้ามาทำงานการเมืองเพื่อแก้ไขปัญหาความขัดแย้งในพื้นที่จังหวัดชายแดนภาคใต้ แก้ปัญหาปมขัดแย้งทางการเมืองในอดีต เป็นพรรคสายกลางในรัฐสภา และต้องการเข้าร่วมรัฐบาลเพื่อผลักดันนโยบายของพรรคให้เกิดขึ้นอย่างเป็นรูปธรรม (2) บทบาททางการเมืองของพลเอกสนธิ นั้นได้กระทำอย่างเต็มที่ และเต็มความสามารถเพื่อผลักดันให้นโยบายพรรคมาตุภูมิบรรลุเป้าประสงค์ทางการเมือง แต่ไม่ประสบความสำเร็จ (3) ปัญหาและอุปสรรคของ พลเอกสนธิ เกิดจากปัญหาเงินทุนพรรคที่มีน้อย การขายเสียงของประชาชนที่หันไปเลือกพรรคใหญ่แทน จำนวนสมาชิกสภาผู้แทนราษฎรของพรรคที่มีจำนวนน้อย และภาพลักษณ์ของพลเอกสนธิที่เคยเป็นหัวหน้าคณะรัฐประหารในปี พ.ศ. 2549
The objective of this research was to study:(1) objective and motivation to play a role of political democracy of General Sonthi Boonyaratkalin in position of Matubhum Party Leader; (2) Democratic political role of General Sonthi Boonyaratkalin in position of Matubhum Party Leader;(3) problem and dilemmas of democratic political role of General Sonthi Boonyaratkalin in position of Matubhum Party Leader This was a qualitative research base on documents and in-depth interviews with a sample population of 11 persons chosen through purposive sampling. The samples consisted of politicians, military, media, academics and religious leader. Data were collected using interview forms and analyzed using content analysis and descriptive analysis. The results showed that (1) Objective and motivation to play a role of political democracy of General Sonthi in position of Matubhum Party Leader were working to resolve political conflicts in the southern provinces, solve the political conflict of the past, moderate political parties, want to join the government to push the policy of the party is going to be substantial ; (2) the political role of Gen. Sonthi was fully done and the ability to push the political goal on the Matubhum party policy but not success ; (3) problem and dilemmas of democratic political role of General Sonthi in position of Matubhum Party Leader, consisting of party funding problem, the right to buy the votes of the people, number of MPs of the ruling party lines and image of a former chief Gen. Sonthi coup in 2006.
