Abstract
การวิจัยนี้มีวัตถุประสงค์เพื่อศึกษา 1) พฤติกรรมการเปิดรับสื่อการท่องเที่ยว 2)
ความต้องการข้อมูลข่าวสารการท่องเที่ยว 3) เปรียบเทียบพฤติกรรมการเปิดรับสื่อการท่องเที่ยวจำแนกตาม เพศ อายุ สถานภาพการสมรส และการศึกษา และ 4) เปรียบเทียบความต้องการข้อมูลข่าวสารการท่องเที่ยว จำแนกตามเพศ อายุ สถานภาพการสมรส และการศึกษาการวิจัยครั้งนี้เป็นการวิจัยเชิงสำรวจ เลือกตัวอย่างแบบตามสะดวก กลุ่มตัวอย่างคือนักท่องเที่ยวชาวยุโรปที่เข้ามาท่องเที่ยวในเขตอำเภอเกาะสมุย จังหวัดสุราษฎร์ธานี จำนวน 200 คน เครื่องมือการวิจัย ได้แก่ แบบสอบถาม สถิติที่ใช้ในการวิเคราะห์ข้อมูล ได้แก่ ค่าความถี่ ค่าร้อยละ ค่าเฉลี่ย ส่วนเบี่ยงเบนมาตรฐาน การทดสอบค่าที และการวิเคราะห์ความแปรปรวน ผลการวิจัย พบว่า 1) กลุ่มตัวอย่างเปิดรับข่าวสารการท่องเที่ยวจากสื่อบุคคลในครอบครัว/เพื่อนมากที่สุด รองลงมาคือสื่อใหม่ เว็บไซต์ โทรทัศน์ (ละครชุดที่ถ่ายทำต่างประเทศ)
และสื่อเฉพาะกิจ 2) กลุ่มตัวอย่างต้องการข้อมูลข่าวสารการท่องเที่ยวเกี่ยวกับเส้นทางเดิน/ผังเมืองมีมากที่สุด รองลงมาคือ แหล่งท่องเที่ยว/สถานที่ท่องเที่ยว และสภาพอากาศ 3) นักท่องเที่ยวชาวยุโรปที่มีสถานภาพการสมรสและการศึกษาแตกต่างกันมีพฤติกรรมการเปิดรับสื่อการท่องเที่ยวแตกต่างกัน อย่างมีนัยสำคัญทางสถิติที่ระดับ 0.05 และ 4) นักท่องเที่ยวชาวยุโรปที่มีอายุแตกต่างกันมีความต้องการข้อมูลข่าวสารการท่องเที่ยวแตกต่างกัน อย่างมีนัยสำคัญทางสถิติที่ระดับ 0.05
The objectives of this research were 1) to study the tourism media exposure behavior of European tourists in Koh Samui; 2) to study their demand for news and information about tourism; 3) to compare their media exposure behavior when grouped by sex, age, marital status and educational level; and 4) to compare their demand for news and information when grouped by sex, age, marital status and educational level. This was a survey research. The sample population was 200 European tourists in Koh Samui District, Surat Thani Province, chosen through convenience sampling. The research tool was a questionnaire. Data were statistically analyzed using frequency, percentage, mean, standard deviation, t test and analysis of variance. The results showed that 1) most of the samples were exposed to tourism news from personal media (friends and relatives) the most, followed by new media, websites, television (programs filmed in Thailand) and ad hoc media. 2) Most of the samples had the greatest demand for tourism information about routes and city maps, followed by tourism destinations and weather information. 3) Tourists with differences in the factors of marital status and educational level had different tourism media exposure to a statistically significant degree at 0.05 confidence level. 4) Tourists with differences in age group had different demands for tourism news to a statistically significant degree at 0.05 confidence level.
