ปัจจัยที่มีผลต่อการคงอยู่ของอาสาสมัครสาธารณสุขในเขตกรุงเทพมหานคร

Abstract

การวิจัยเชิงสำรวจครั้งนี้มีวัตถุประสงค์เพื่อศึกษา (1) ปัจจัยคุณลักษณะทางประชากร ปัจจัยจูงใจ ปัจจัยค้ำจุน ภาระงานและการรับรู้ความสามารถของตนเองในการปฏิบัติงานของอาสาสมัครสาธารณสุข (2) การคงอยู่ของอาสาสมัครสาธารณสุข (3) อิทธิพลร่วมของปัจจัยคุณลักษณะทางประชากร ปัจจัยจูงใจ ปัจจัยค้ำจุน ภาระงาน และการรับรู้ความสามารถของตนเองในการปฏิบัติงาน ที่มีผลต่อการคงอยู่ของอาสาสมัครสาธารณสุข และ (4) ปัญหา อุปสรรคและข้อเสนอแนะในการปฏิบัติงานของอาสาสมัครสาธารณสุข ในเขตกรุงเทพมหานคร ประชากรที่ศึกษาครั้งนี้ คือ อาสาสมัครสาธารณสุข ในเขตกรุงเทพมหานครจำนวน 11,527 คนทำการสุ่มตัวอย่างโดยใช้วิธีการสุ่มแบบหลายขั้นตอน จำนวน 400 คน เครื่องมือวิจัยเป็นแบบสอบถามที่มีค่าสัมประสิทธิ์อัลฟาของคอนบราค เท่ากับ 0.785 วิเคราะห์ข้อมูลโดยใช้ความถี่ร้อยละค่าเฉลี่ย ส่วนเบี่ยงเบนมาตรฐานค่าต่ำสุดค่าสูงสุด และการวิเคราะห์การถดถอยแบบพหุคูณ ผลการศึกษาพบว่า (1) กลุ่มตัวอย่างส่วนใหญ่เป็นเพศหญิงมีอายุเฉลี่ย 39.81 ปี สถานภาพโสด จบการศึกษาชั้นสูงสุดระดับมัธยมศึกษาตอนต้น มีภาระในครอบครัวที่ต้องรับผิดชอบดูแลบุตร/หลาน อาชีพค้าขาย ระยะเวลาการเป็นอาสาสมัครสาธารณสุขเฉลี่ย 7.79 ปี ปัจจัยจูงใจอยู่ในระดับสูง ปัจจัยค้ำจุนอยู่ในระดับสูง ภาระงานในระดับปานกลาง และการรับรู้ความสามารถของตนเองอยู่ในระดับสูง (2) อาสาสมัครสาธารณสุขมีการคงอยู่ในระดับสูง (3) ปัจจัยที่มีอิทธิพลร่วมต่อการคงอยู่ของอาสาสมัครสาธารณสุข ในเขตกรุงเทพมหานคร ได้แก่ ความสำเร็จของงาน ลักษณะงาน สภาพการทำงาน โดยร่วมกันอธิบายการแปรผันของการคงอยู่ของอาสาสมัครสาธารณสุข ร้อยละ 31.2 และ (4) ปัญหา อุปสรรค ที่สาคัญคือจำนวนอาสาสมัครสาธารณสุขมีน้อย โดยมีข้อเสนอแนะ คือ ศูนย์บริการสาธารณสุขต้องจัดอบรมอาสาสมัครสาธารณสุขใหม่เพิ่มเติม

The purposes of this study were: (1) to identify demographic factors, motivational factors, contributing factors, workload and self-efficacy of health volunteers; (2) to examine the retention of health volunteers; (3) to explore the influence of demographic factors, motivational factors, contributing factors, workload and self-efficacy on the retention of health volunteers; and (4) to identify problems/obstacles and make suggestions related to the performance of health volunteers in the Bangkok Metropolitan Administration (BMA). The study was conducted in 400 health volunteers selected out of all 11,527 health volunteers in the BMA, using the multi-stage sampling method. A questionnaire with a Cronbach’s alpha of 0 .785 was used as a tool for data collection. Data were analyzed to determine percentages, means, standard deviations, as well as maximum-minimum values; and a multiple regression analysis was performed. The results showed that: (1) among all respondents, most of them were female, 39 .81 years of age on average, and single, completed secondary school, took care of family members and had an average of 7 .79 years’ volunteer experiences; their motivational and contributing factors were at the high level, workload at a moderate level and self-efficacy at the high level; (2) the retention of health volunteers was at the high level; (3) the factors influencing the volunteers’ retention were the success and nature of the job as well as working condition, which could explain 31.2% of the retention capacity; and (4) a major problem was the small number of health volunteers; so additional health volunteers should selected and trained
