Abstract
การวิจัยนี้มีวัตถุประสงค์เพื่อพัฒนากรอบสมรรถนะด้านการวิจัยของบรรณารักษ์ ห้องสมุดสถาบันอุดมศึกษา วิธีดำเนินการวิจัยใช้การวิเคราะห์เอกสาร การสัมภาษณ์และการส่งแบบสอบถาม ผู้ให้ข้อมูล กลุ่มที่ 1 ประกอบด้วย ผู้ทรงคุณวุฒิและนักวิจัย จำนวน 20 คน กลุ่มที่ 2 ประกอบด้วย ผู้อำนวยการห้องสมุดสถาบันอุดมศึกษา อาจารย์ผู้สอน บรรณารักษ์ และนักวิจัย จำนวน 43 คน เครื่องมือที่ใช้ในการวิจัยประกอบด้วย แบบบันทึกข้อมูล แบบสัมภาษณ์ และแบบสอบถาม การวิเคราะห์ข้อมูลใช้การวิเคราะห์เนื้อหา การหาค่าร้อยละ ค่าเฉลี่ย และส่วนเบี่ยงเบนมาตรฐาน ผลการวิจัยพบว่า สมรรถนะหลักด้านการวิจัยของบรรณารักษ์ห้องสมุดสถาบันอุดมศึกษา มีทั้งหมด 3 ด้าน เรียงตามลำดับค่าเฉลี่ย ได้แก่ ด้านการจัดหาและการบริการงานวิจัย (X =3.94) ด้านการใช้ผลการวิจัย (X =3.84) และด้านการดำเนินการวิจัย (X = 3.80) โดยมีค่าเฉลี่ยอยู่ในระดับมากทุกด้าน แต่ละด้านมีรายการสมรรถนะย่อยรวมทั้งหมด จำนวน 31 รายการ รายการที่มีค่าเฉลี่ยอยู่ในระดับมากที่สุดมีจำนวน 10 รายการ โดยอยู่ในด้านการจัดหาและการบริการงานวิจัย จำนวน 9 รายการ และด้านการดำเนินการวิจัย จำนวน 1 รายการ เรียงตามลำดับค่าเฉลี่ยแต่ละรายการ ได้แก่ การบริการตอบคำถามและช่วยการค้นคว้าแก่นักวิจัย (X = 4.77) การเลือกทรัพยากรสารสนเทศเพื่อสนับสนุนการวิจัย (X = 4.72) การบริการสืบค้นงานวิจัยทั้งรูปแบบสิ่งพิมพ์และอิเล็กทรอนิกส์ (X = 4.65) การบริการแนะนำการเขียนอ้างอิงในงานวิจัย (X = 4.63) การจัดระบบทรัพยากรสารสนเทศให้เอื้อต่อการเข้าถึงและการใช้ของนักวิจัย และการบริการให้คำปรึกษาและแนะนำ แหล่งข้อมูลเพื่อสนับสนุนการวิจัย โดยมีค่าเฉลี่ยเท่ากัน (X = 4.60) การบริการวิจัยผ่านสื่อทันสมัยตามความต้องการของนักวิจัย (X = 4.58) การออกแบบการวิจัย และการออกแบบการบริการวิจัยที่เหมาะสม โดยมีค่าเฉลี่ยเท่ากัน (X = 4.56) และการบริการแนะนำเรื่องลิขสิทธิ์ และจรรยาบรรณนักวิจัย (X = 4.53)
The objective of this research was to develop an academic librarians’ research competency framework. Documentary analysis, an interview, and a questionnaire were used to collect data. Informants for the first group comprised 20 key persons and researchers, and for the second group 43 academic directors, faculty members, librarians and researchers. The research instruments employed comprised a data recording form, an interview form, and a questionnaire. Data were analyzed using content analysis, percentage, mean and standard deviation. Research findings showed that core research competency of academic librarians was composed of three dimensions which were ranked based on their rating means as follows: research acquisition and services (X = 3.94), uses of research results (X = 3.84), and the research conduct dimension (X = 3.80). The rating mean for each dimension was at the high level. Each dimension was composed of altogether 31 items. Ten items received rating mean at the highest level. Of these 10 items, nine items were under research acquisition and services, while one item was under the research conduct dimension. These items were ranked based on their rating means as follows: reference and information services for researchers (X = 4.77), the selection of information resources to support research work (X = 4.72), retrieval of both printed and electronic research (X = 4.65), services on reference citation (X = 4.63), information organization to facilitate researchers’ access and usage, with the same score as the information sources consultation service to support research (X = 4.60), research service via new media based on researchers’ needs (X = 4.58), research design, with the same score as the provision of appropriate research service design (X = 4.56), and consultation service on copyright and researchers’ code of ethics (X = 4.53)
