การพัฒนาทางวิชาชีพของบรรณารักษ์สถาบันการศึกษา สังกัดสำนักงานคณะกรรมการการอาชีวศึกษา

Abstract

การวิจัยครั้งนี้มีวัตถุประสงค์เพื่อศึกษาสถานภาพของบรรณารักษ์ สภาพ ปัญหาและอุปสรรคความต้องการการพัฒนาทางวิชาชีพและรูปแบบกิจกรรมการพัฒนาวิชาชีพที่เหมาะสมสำหรับบรรณารักษ์สถาบันการศึกษา สังกัดสำนักงานคณะกรรมการการอาชีวศึกษาประชากรคือ บรรณารักษ์ที่มีวุฒิ การศึกษาชั้นตํ่าปริญญาตรีทางบรรณารักษศาสตร์/สารนิเทศศาสตร์/สารสนเทศศาสตร์ จำนวน 148 คน และผู้ทรงคุณวุฒิที่คัดเลือกแบบเจาะจง จำนวน 5 คน เครื่องมือที่ใช้ได้แก่แบบสอบถาม สถิติที่ใช้ในการวิเคราะห์ข้อมูลได้แก่ ร้อยละ ค่าเฉลี่ย และค่าเบี่ยงเบนมาตรฐาน ผลการวิจัยพบว่า (1) บรรณารักษ์ส่วนใหญ่มีวุฒิการศึกษาสูงสุดคือปริญญาตรีบรรณารักษศาสตร์สารนิเทศศาสตร์/สารสนเทศศาสตร์ (ร้อยละ 75.00) รับผิดชอบทุกงานของห้องสมุด (ร้อยละ 80.49) และมีตำแหน่งหัวหน้างานห้องสมุด (ร้อยละ 91.22) (2) กิจกรรมการพัฒนาทางวิชาชีพที่บรรณารักษ์ทุกคนเคยเข้าร่วมมากที่สุดคือ การอ่านและศึกษาด้วยตนเอง (ร้อยละ 100.00) และกิจกรรมการพัฒนาวิชาชีพที่บรรณารักษ์ไม่เคยเข้าร่วมมากที่สุดคือ การปฐมนิเทศงาน (ร้อยละ 95.27) (3) ปัญหาและอุปสรรคในการพัฒนาทางวิชาชีพมีค่าเฉลี่ยรวมในระดับปานกลาง (4) กิจกรรมที่บรรณารักษ์ต้องการการพัฒนาวิชาชีพมีค่าเฉลี่ยรวมในระดับมาก หัวข้อที่บรรณารักษ์ส่วนใหญ่ต้องการพัฒนาทางวิชาชีพคือ ระบบห้องสมุดอัตโนมติ (ร้อยละ 77.02) ส่วนเหตุผลที่ต้องการการพัฒนาทางวิชาชีพคือ การนำมาใช้ปรับปรุงและพัฒนางาน (ร้อยละ 86.49) หน่วยงานที่ต้องการให้จัดกิจกรรมคือสถาบันการศึกษาบรรณารักษศาสตร์/สารนิเทศศาสตร์/สารสนเทศศาสตร์ (ร้อยละ 70.95) สถานที่ที่ต้องการให้จัดกิจกรรมคือ จังหวัดใหญ่ ๆ ในทุกภูมิภาคของปรrเทศ (ร้อยละ 39.86) (5) รูปแบบกิจกรรมการพัฒนาทางวิชาชีพที่เหมาะสมครอบคลุมทุกกิจกรรม โดยเน้นการศึกษาต่อระดับปริญญาโทสาขาบรรณารักษ์ศาสตร์/สารนิเทศศาสตร์/สารสนเทศศาสตร์

The purpose of this study was to examine librarians' status, professional development, problems and obstacles and study the appropIiate professional development activities model for librarians under the Official Vocational Education Commission .The population totaled 148 libnuians with bachelor degrees and five specific chosen experts in Libnuy and Infonnation Science. The questionnaire was the research tool and the statistics used for research data analysis were percentage, mean, and standard deviation., The research findings were: (l) Most libnuians were chieflibraIians (91.22%) that have a bachelor degree in Library artd InfOimation Science (75.00%) and are responsible for all library functions (80.49%). (2) The greatest number of professional development activities in which all librarians participated wa. reading/self study ( 100%) while job orientation was the one that most librarians never participated in (95.27%). (3) The problems and obstacles oflibrarians' professional development were in the medium mean. (4) The activities that librarians need for professional development was in the high mean and the topic most requested by the librariar1Swas the automatic library system (77.02%). The reasons for the need of professional development were career improvement and development (86.49 %). Librarians want library and infonnation science institutions to organize professional development activities (70.95%) in the larger provinces of Thailand (39.86%). (5) The appropriate professional development activity models covered all activities but further studies to attain a master's degree in Library and Infonnation Science was the most emphasized topic.
