Abstract
การศึกษาเชิงสำรวจครั้งนี้ มีวัตถุประสงค์เพื่อศึกษา 1) ลักษณะทางประชากรของผู้ปกครองที่มีเด็กปฐมวัยฟันผุ 2) การปฏิบัติด้านทันตสุขภาพสำหรับเด็กของผู้ปกครองในเรื่องการดูแลรับประทานอาหาร และเครื่องดื่ม 3) การปฏิบัติด้านทันตสุขภาพเรื่องการทำความสะอาดช่องปากและการแปรงฟัน 4) การปฏิบัติด้านทันตสุขภาพเรื่องการตรวจสุขภาพช่องปากเด็กโดยผู้ปกครองและการพบทันตบุคลากร 5) การปฏิบัติทันตสุขภาพสำหรับเด็กโดยรวมของผู้ปกครองที่มีเด็กปฐมวัยฟันผุ และ 6) ความสัมพันธ์ระหว่างลักษณะทางประชากรกับการปฏิบัติด้านทันตสุขภาพของผู้ปกครองที่มีเด็กปฐมวัยฟันผุประชากรที่ใช้ในการศึกษา คือ ผู้ปกครองที่มีเด็กปฐมวัยฟันผุ ในศูนย์พัฒนาเด็กเล็ก อำเภอดอกคำใต้ จังหวัดพะเยา จำนวน 300 คน กำหนดขนาดตัวอย่าง 169 คน กำหนดสัดส่วนตัวอย่างของแต่ละศูนย์พัฒนาเด็กเล็กจำนวน 11 แห่ง ใช้แบบสอบถามเป็นเครื่องมือในการเก็บรวบรวมข้อมูล มีค่าความเชื่อมั่น 0.767 สถิติที่ใช้ในการวิเคราะห์ข้อมูล ได้แก่ ค่าความถี่ ร้อยละ ค่าเฉลี่ย ส่วนเบี่ยงเบนมาตรฐาน ค่าต่ำสุด ค่าสูงสุด ไคสแควร์ การทดสอบค่าที ค่าสัมประสิทธิ์สหสัมพันธ์และสถิติวิเคราะห์ความแปรปรวน ผลการศึกษา พบว่า 1) ผู้ปกครองเด็กปฐมวัยที่มีฟันผุ ในศูนย์พัฒนาเด็กเล็กอำเภอดอกคำใต้ จังหวัดพะเยา ส่วนใหญ่เป็นเพศหญิง อายุระหว่าง 18-66 ปี จบการศึกษาระดับมัธยมศึกษา มีอาชีพเกษตรกรรม รายได้ต่อเดือนอยู่ระหว่าง 1,001-5,000 บาท สถานภาพสมรส ส่วนใหญ่เป็นมารดาของเด็ก และมีจำนวนเด็กในความดูแล 1 คน 2) การปฏิบัติทันตสุขภาพในเรื่องการดูแลรับประทานอาหารและเครื่องดื่มอยู่ในระดับปานกลาง 3) การปฏิบัติทันตสุขภาพการทำความสะอาด ช่องปากและการแปรงฟันอยู่ในระดับปานกลาง 4) การปฏิบัติทันตสุขภาพในเรื่องการตรวจสุขภาพช่องปากเด็กโดยผู้ปกครองและการพบทันตบุคลากรอยู่ในระดับปานกลาง 5) การปฏิบัติทันตสุขภาพสำหรับเด็กโดยรวมอยู่ในระดับปานกลาง และ 6) อาชีพมีความสัมพันธ์กับการปฏิบัติด้านการตรวจสุขภาพช่องปากเด็กโดยผู้ปกครองและการพบทันตบุคลากร และการปฏิบัติทันตสุขภาพโดยรวม จำนวนเด็กในความดูแลมีความสัมพันธ์กับการปฏิบัติทันตสุขภาพด้านการดูแลรับประทานอาหารและเครื่องดื่ม อาชีพต่างกันมีการปฏิบัติทันตสุขภาพในเรื่องการดูแลรับประทานอาหารและเครื่องดื่มและการตรวจสุขภาพช่องปากโดยผู้ปกครองและพบทันตบุคลากรต่างกัน รายได้ที่ต่างกันมีการปฏิบัติทันตสุขภาพทั้ง 3 ด้านและโดยรวมต่างกัน จำนวนเด็กในความดูแลต่างกันมีการปฏิบัติทันตสุขภาพในเรื่องการดูแลรับประทานอาหารและเครื่องดื่มต่างกันข้อเสนอแนะจากการศึกษา 1) จัดกิจกรรมส่งเสริม สร้างแรงจูงใจ ในเรื่องการเลือกรับประทานอาหารว่างและเครื่องดื่ม การทำความสะอาดช่องปากและการแปรงฟัน การตรวจสุขภาพช่องปากเด็กโดยผู้ปกครองและพบทันตบุคลากรในกลุ่มผู้ปกครองที่มีรายได้น้อย ผู้ที่ประกอบอาชีพเกษตรกรรม และแม่บ้าน/พ่อบ้าน/ไม่ได้ทำงาน 2) จัดโปรแกรมส่งเสริมสุขภาพช่องปากให้แก่ผู้ปกครองเด็กในทุกด้านเริ่มตั้งแต่ฟันยังไม่ขึ้น ในคลีนิคเด็กดี ในสถานบริการ และ 3) แนะนำการบริโภคอาหารและเครื่องดื่มให้ผู้ปกครองที่มีเด็กในความดูแลตั้งแต่ 2 คนขึ้นไป
The objectives of this survey research were to study: 1) demographical characteristics of the guardians having their preschool children possessing dental caries; 2) practice for child dental health of the guardians on food and beverage consumption cares; 3) practice for dental health care of oral cleaning and brushing; 4) practice for child dental health on oral examination by their guardians and dental visit; 5) overall practice for child dental health of the guardians having a child possessing dental caries; and 6) relationship among demographical characteristics and practice for dental health of the guardians having a child possessing dental caries. The studied population was 300 guardians who had preschool children possessing dental caries in 11 Child Care Centers in Dokkamtai District, ,Phayao Province, with 169 of them were proportionally sampled from each in individual center. The tool used was a questionnaire, with a reliability value of 0.767. Statistics for data analyses were frequency, percentage, standard deviation, minimum, maximum, Chi-square test, t-test, correlationcoefficient, and analysis of variance. The study results revealed that: 1) most studied guardians were female, 18-66 years old, holding secondary school education, being farmers, having monthly income of 1,001-5,000 baht, and married. Most of them were mother with 1 child; 2) practice for dental health on food and beverage consumption cares was at a moderate level; 3) practice for dental health on oral cleaning and brushing were at a moderate level; 4) practice for children dental health on oral examination by their guardians and dental visit were at a moderate level; 5) overall practice for dental health of the guardians for the children possessing dental caries were at a moderate level; and 6) occupation related to overall practice for children dental health on oral examination by their guardians and dental visit. Number of children related to practice for dental health on food and beverage consumption cares. Different occupation had different dental health practices on food and beverage consumption cares and oral examination by the guardians and dental visit. Different income signified different practices on dental health, both overall and the three aspects. Different number of children signified different practices for dental health on food and beverage consumption cares. Suggestions were that: 1) promoting activities to motivate about selections of snacks and beverages, oral cleaning and brushing, oral examination by guardians and househusbands, or unemployment; 2) comprehensive program on oral health in Dek Dee (Good Child) clinic should be provided to the guardians since the pre emergence period; and 3) food and beverage consumption should be advised to the guardians with at least 2 children.
