Abstract
The objectives of this research were to explore the socio-economic profile as well as opinions of tourists who visited the Erawan National Park, to determine factors that affect the tourists’ decision to visit Erawan National Park, to measure the benefit of the park in terms of use value from tourism in the year of 2011 by using individual travel cost method.
The analysis was based on information collected from face-to-face interviews of 200 Thai tourists age between 15 – 60 years who visit Erawan National Park, Kanchanaburi during April 5 – 17, 2011. Poisson regression model was used to estimate the consumers’ surplus.
The result found that 1) 53.5% of the respondents were male tourists with average age of 30 years old; 66% were single. The larger percentage completed Bachelor’s degree and average monthly income was 16,965 baht per month. 2) three factors which influenced decisions to visit Erawan National Park, namely travel cost, time and gender. These were significant at 99%, 95% and 90% levels of confidence respectively. 3) The negative coefficients signs of the travel cost and time indicated that if travel cost and time to Erawan National Park increased, the number of times people would visit to the park would be reduce. Gender was another significant variable with positive coefficient sign indicating the higher number of visitations among male than female tourists. Consumers’ surplus was 1,388 baht/person/year. Using this value to multiply the number of who visit Erawan National Park, which was 417,289 in 2010, the total use value would amount to 579,197,132 baht per year.

การวิจัยครั้งนี้มีวัตถุประสงค์เพื่อศึกษา 1) ลักษณะพื้นฐานทางเศรษฐกิจ สังคม และความคิดเห็นของนักท่องเที่ยวที่มาท่องเที่ยวอุทยานแห่งชาติเอราวัณ 2) ปัจจัยที่มีอิทธิพลต่อการตัดสินใจมาท่องเที่ยวอุทยานแห่งชาติเอราวัณ 3) ประเมินมูลค่าการใช้ประโยชน์ด้านนันทนาการอุทยานแห่งชาติเอราวัณ ในปี พ.ศ. 2554 การศึกษาครั้งนี้ใช้วิธีการเก็บข้อมูลโดยการสัมภาษณ์กลุ่มตัวอย่างของนักท่องเที่ยวชาวไทยที่มีอายุตั้งแต่ 15-60 ปี ที่เดินทางมาท่องเที่ยวอุทยานแห่งชาติเอราวัณ จังหวัดกาญจนบุรี ระหว่างวันที่ 5-17 เมษายน พ.ศ.2554 จำนวน 200 ตัวอย่าง ส่วนการวิเคราะห์ส่วนเกินผู้บริโภคใช้การวิเคราะห์การถดถอยแบบปัวซอง โดยใช้วิธีการคิดค่าใช้จ่ายในการเดินทางของบุคคล
ผลการศึกษาพบว่า 1) ลักษณะพื้นฐานทางเศรษฐกิจ สังคม และ ความคิดเห็นของนักท่องเที่ยวที่มาท่องเที่ยวอุทยานแห่งชาติเอราวัณพบว่า นักท่องเที่ยวที่มาเป็นเพศชายร้อยละ 53.5 อายุเฉลี่ย 30 ปี และร้อยละ 66 เป็นโสด จบการศึกษาระดับปริญญาตรี มีรายได้เฉลี่ย 16,965 บาทต่อคนต่อเดือน 2) ปัจจัยที่มีอิทธิพลต่อการตัดสินใจมาท่องเที่ยวอุทยานแห่งชาติเอราวัณ พบว่า มีจานวน 3 ตัวแปรที่มีนัยสาคัญทางสถิติ คือ ค่าใช้จ่าย เวลาที่ใช้ในการเดินทางมาอุทยานแห่งชาติเอราวัณ และ เพศ ซึ่งแต่ละตัวแปรมีระดับนัยสาคัญทางสถิติ ณ ความเชื่อมั่นร้อยละ 99 ร้อยละ 95 และ ร้อยละ 90 ตามลาดับ 3) ค่าใช้จ่ายและเวลาที่ใช้ในการเดินทางมาท่องเที่ยวอุทยานแห่งชาติเอราวัณ เครื่องหมายของสัมประสิทธิ์เป็นลบ แสดงความสัมพันธ์แบบผกผันกับจานวนครั้งในการมาอุทยานแห่งชาติเอราวัณ หากเวลาและค่าใช้จ่ายเพิ่มขึ้น จะทำให้จำนวนครั้งในการมาอุทยานแห่งชาติเอราวัณลดลง เมื่อพิจารณาความสัมพันธ์ระหว่างเพศกับจำนวนครั้งในการมาอุทยานแห่งชาติเอราวัณ พบว่าเพศชายมีโอกาสที่จะมาอุทยานแห่งชาติเอราวัณมากกว่าเพศหญิง และส่วนเกินผู้บริโภคที่คำนวณได้เท่ากับ 1,388 บาทต่อคนต่อปี และถ้านำมาคูณกับจำนวนนักท่องเที่ยวที่มาอุทยานแห่งชาติเอราวัณในปี 2553 ซึ่งมี จำนวน 417,289 คน จะได้มูลค่าที่เกิดจากการใช้เท่ากับ 579,197,132 บาทต่อปี
