การวิจัยครั้งนี้เป็นการวิจัยเชิงพรรณนา มีวัตถุประสงค์เพื่อศึกษา (1) เพื่อศึกษา
ความเครียดในการทำงานของพยาบาลวิชาชีพไทย ในรัฐแคลิฟอร์เนีย ประเทศสหรัฐอเมริกา (2) เพื่อเปรียบเทียบความเครียดในการทำงานของพยาบาลวิชาชีพไทย ในรัฐแคลิฟอร์เนีย ประเทศสหรัฐอเมริกา ที่มีปัจจัยส่วนบุคคลด้านอายุ สถานภาพสมรส แผนกปฏิบัติงาน ระยะเวลาการปฎิบัติงาน ความสามารถทางภาษาอังกฤษ และความสามารถปฏิบัติการพยาบาล แตกต่างกัน กลุ่มตัวอย่างที่ศึกษาเป็นพยาบาลวิชาชีพไทย ในรัฐแคลิฟอร์เนีย ประเทศสหรัฐอเมริกาจำนวน 132 คน ซึ่งถูกเลือกแบบเจาะจง เครื่องมือวิจัยเป็นแบบสอบถาม แบ่งเป็น 2 ตอน คือ (1) ข้อมูลส่วนบุคคล และ (2) แบบสอบถามความเครียดในการทำงาน แบบสอบถามผ่านการตรวจสอบความตรงเชิงเนี้อหาได้ค่าดัชนีความตรงตามเนี้อหา 0.84 และค่าความเที่ยงเท่ากับ 0.86 การวิเคราะห์ข้อมูลโดยการหาค่าความถี่ ร้อยละ มัธยฐาน ส่วนเบี่ยงเบนควอไทล์ และ Kruskal Wallis test ผลการวิจัยพบว่า (1) ความเครียดในการทำงานของพยาบาลวิชาชีพไทย ในรัฐแคลิฟอร์เนีย ประเทศสหรัฐอเมริกา โดยรวมอยู่ในระดับปานกลาง มีค่ามัธยฐาน 3.37 (2) พยาบาลวิชาชีพ ที่มีปัจจัยส่วนบุคคลแตกต่างกันด้านอายุ สถานภาพสมรส แผนกปฏิบัติงาน ระยะเวลาการปฏิบัติงาน ความสามารถทางภาษาอังกฤษ และความสามารถปฏิบัติการพยาบาลมีความเครียดในการทำงานโดยรวมและรายด้านไม่แตกต่างกัน แต่พยาบาลวิชาชีพที่มีความสามารถปฎิบัติการพยาบาลในระดับปานกลาง และระดับดีมีความเครียดด้านปริมาณงานและความกดดันด้านเวลา
แตกต่างกันอย่างมีนัยสำคัญทางสถิติ (p<.05)
The purposes of this descriptive study were: (1) to study the occupational stress of Thai professional nurses in the Slate of California, United Stale of America (2) to compare the occupational stress of Thai professional nurses with different personal factors. The sample comprised 132 Thai professional nurses in the State of California, United Slate of America. They were selected by the purposive sampling technique. Queslionnaireswas used as research loolwhichcomprised two sections: personal data and occupational stress. The questionnaireswaslested for validity and reliability. The results were 0.84 and 0.86 respectively. Data were analyzed by frequency, percentage, median, quartile deviation, and Kruskal Wallis Test. The results were as follows. (1) Thai professional nurses rated their occupalionalstress al the medium level (Md = 3.37). (2) There was no statistically significant difference between Thai professional nurses who have different personal factors in terms of age. marital status, departments, years of work, ability in English language, and ability to perform their nursing duties.The was statistically significant difference between the occupational stress al the medium and the high levels in the domains of work overload and time pressure (p< .05).
