Abstract
การวิจัยนี้มีวัตถุประสงค์ (1) เพื่อศึกษาวิเคราะห์แนวคิด รูปแบบและโครงสร้างความสัมพันธ์เชิงสังคมและอำนาจที่ปรากฏในนวนิยายเรื่องเขาชื่อกานต์ (2) เพื่อศึกษาวิเคราะห์แนวคิด รูปแบบและโครงสร้างความสัมพันธ์เชิงสังคมและอำนาจที่มีผลต่โลกทัศน์ทางการเมืองของคนในท้องถิ่น งานวิจัยนี้เป็นงานวิจัยเชิงคุณภาพโดยใช้แนวคิดเกี่ยวกับการศึกษาตีความวรรณกรรมในแบบวิเคราะห์เนื้อหาและแนวความคิดโครงสร้างความสัมพันธ์เชิงสังคมและอำนาจ ระบบอุปถัมภ์ และการทุจริต คอร์รัปชันเป็นกรอบแนวคิดของการวิจัย รูปแบบการวิจัยเป็นการวิจัยเอ กสาร โดยทำการศึกษาวิจัยเนื้อหาในหนังสือนวนิยายเรื่อง เขาชื่อกานต์ ผลการวิจัยพบว่า (1) นวนิยายเรื่องเขาชื่อกานต์ แต่งขึ้นในช่วงที่การเมืองสังคมไทยเกิดการเปลี่ยนผ่านไปสู่ความเป็นสมัยใหม่ แต่ระบบราชการเข้ามามีบทบาทและอิทธิพลต่อผู้คนในชนบท เกิดทัศนคติแบบเจ้าคนนายคน เกิดช่องว่างระหว่างข้าราชการกับประชาชน ทัศนคติและหลักปฏิบัติของข้าราชการโดยเฉพาะข้าราชการชั้นสูงจะเป็นไปแบบการใช้อำนาจและมีอิทธิพลทำให้การแสดงความคิดเห็นของคน และนักเขียนในยุคนั้น จะมุ่งไปที่การวิพากษ์วิจารณ์เหตุการณ์ สังคม และบ้านเมือง หน้าที่นวนิยายในช่วงนั้น จะเป็นแนวสะท้อนปัญหาที่เกิดขึ้นจริงในสังคมไทย (2) นวนิยายเรื่องเขาชื่อกานต์ มีเนื้อหาเกี่ยวกับความสัมพันธ์เชิงสังคมและอำนาจ ด้านอำนาจ จะเป็นการใช้อำนาจและการมีอิทธิพลของข้าราชการในท้องถิ่น และการใช้อำนาจของผู้ที่มีอำนาจเหนือกว่ากระทำต่อผู้ที่มีอำนาจน้อยกว่า ด้านระบบระบบอุปถัมภ์ในเรื่อง เขาชื่อกานต์ จำแนกได้ 3 ลักษณะ คือระบบอุปถัมภ์ที่เป็นความสัมพันธ์ระหว่างบุคคลทั่วไประบบอุปถัมภ์ในวงราชการ ระบบอุปถัมภ์ระหว่างข้าราชการกับนักธุรกิจพ่อค้า และในด้านทุจริตคอร์รัปชัน จะเป็นผลสืบเนื่องจากความสัมพันธ์เชิงสังคมและอำนาจในด้านอำนาจ และด้านระบบอุปถัมภ์ที่เกิดขึ้นในเรื่อง ซึ่งทั้งหมดล้วนมีความสัมพันธ์ที่ทำให้เกิดผลเชื่อมโยงกัน และ (3) ความสัมพันธ์เชิงสังคมและอำนาจเป็นความสัมพันธ์ที่มีผลต่อโลกทัศน์ทางการเมืองของคนในท้องถิ่น คนในท้องถิ่นให้การยอมรับในอำนาจของผู้ที่เหนือกว่า และผู้ที่มีอำนาจน้อยกว่าในท้องถิ่นยังคงต้องการความช่วยเหลือ ต้องการการอุปถัมภ์ค้ำชู และต้องการได้รับการอำนวยความสะดวกจากผู้ที่มีอำนาจเหนือกว่า
The objectives of this research were (1) to study the concept and structure of social and power relation in a novel “His Name is Karn” and (2) to study the concept and structure of social and power relation that affect the political vision of local people. This research was a qualitative and documentary research using the concept of literary interpretation, content analysis approach and the concept of structure of social and power relation in patronage and corruption as a framework. Research was conducted in the novel “His Name is Karn”. The study found that (1) the novel “His Name is Karn” was written during the transition of Thai social-politic modernization. The bureaucracy plays a role and influences people in rural areas resulting in creating of a bossy attitude and creating gaps between bureaucrats and people. Attitudes and practices of civil servants, especially high-ranking bureaucrats, were based on the use of power, causing the opinions of people and writers of that era to focus on criticizing events and society. The novels at that time reflected a number of problems facing the Thai society. (2) The novel “His Name is Karn” portrayed social relations and power. The power aspect may appeared to be influence of the local bureaucrats and the use of the power of the superior act on the less. There were three types of patronage system: the patronage system that was the relationship between people, the patronage system in the government and the patronage system between bureaucrats and businessmen. Corruption was a consequence of social and power relations. The patronage system that presented in the novel createds a coherent relationship. (3) Social and power relations were relationships that affect the political worldview of local people. The local people recognized the power of the superior. The less powerful in the local area still needed help and support as well as wanted to be facilitated by the superior
