Abstract
การวิจัยครั้งนี้มีวัตถุประสงค์เพื่อศึกษาเกี่ยวกับ 1) ปัจจัยการสื่อสาร 2) การเปิดรับสื่อ และ 3) ความสัมพันธ์ระหว่างลักษณะทางประชากรกับปัจจัยการสื่อสาร และ 4) ความสัมพันธ์ระหว่างลักษณะทางประชากรกับการเปิดรับสื่อที่มีผลต่อการเลือกตั้งนายกองค์การบริหารส่วนจังหวัดสุราษฎร์ธานี การวิจัยนี้เป็นการวิจัยเชิงปริมาณ กลุ่มตัวอย่าง คือ ผู้มีสิทธิเลือกตั้งในจังหวัดสุราษฎร์ธานี จำนวน 400 คน จากการสุ่มตัวอย่างโดยวิธีสุ่มตัวอย่างแบบหลายขั้นตอน เครื่องมือที่ใช้ในการวิจัย คือ แบบสอบถาม การวิเคราะห์ข้อมูลใช้สถิติเชิงพรรณนา ได้แก่ ก่าความถี่ ค่าร้อยละ ค่าเฉลี่ย และค่าส่วนเบี่ยงเบนมาตรฐาน ทคสอบสมมติฐานด้วยสถิติอ้างอิง ได้แก่ ค่าสหสัมพันธ์แบบเพียร์สัน ผลการวิจัยพบว่า 1) ปัจจัยการสื่อสารด้านคุณสมบัติของตัวผู้สมัครที่มีผลต่อการหาเสียงเลือกตั้ง ได้แก่ การเป็นผู้มีชื่อเสียงเป็นที่รู้จักมีผลต่อการหาเสียงเลือกตั้งมากที่สุด ค่าเฉลี่ยเท่ากับ 4.06 บุคลิกภาพของผู้สมัคร ค่าเฉลี่ยเท่ากับ 4.02 ทักษะการสื่อสารของผู้สมัคร ค่าเฉลี่ยเท่ากับ 3.96 และพรรคการเมืองที่สังกัด มีค่าเฉลี่ยเท่ากับ 3.62 ตามลำดับ 2) การเปิดรับสื่อภาพรวมอยู่ในระดับมาก พิจารณารายด้าน ได้แก่ สื่อบุคคลมีผลต่อการหาเสียงเลือกตั้งมากที่สุด ค่าเฉลี่ย 4.07 สื่อเฉพาะกิจ มีค่าเฉลี่ยเท่ากับ 4.06 สื่อมวลชนท้องถิ่น ค่าเฉลี่ย 4.05 และสื่อใหม่ ค่าเฉลี่ย 4.00 ตามลำดับ แสดงให้เห็นว่า ประชาชนยังคงนิยมสื่อบุคคลโดยเฉพาะผู้สมัครเดินเคาะประตูหาเสียงตามบ้านและให้ความสำคัญกับสื่อมวลชนท้องถิ่น ได้แก่ วิทยุชุมชน และหนังสือพิมพ์ท้องถิ่น 3) ลักษณะทางประชากรมีความสัมพันธ์กับปัจจัยการสื่อสารที่มีผลต่อการหาเสียงในระดับมากอย่างมีนัยสำคัญที่สถิติ 0.05 4) ลักษณะทางประชากรมีความสัมพันธ์กับการเปิดรับสื่อที่มีผลต่อการเลือกตั้งอย่างมีนัยสำคัญที่สถิติ 0.05
The objectives of this research were to study 1) communication factors, 2) media exposure, 3) the relationship between voters’ demographic factors and communication factors, and 4) the relationship between voters’ demographic factors and their media exposure that affected their voting in the election campaign for chairman of the Surat Thani Provincial Administrative Organization (PAO). This was a quantitative research. The sample population was 400 people who were eligible to vote in Surat Thani Province, chosen through multi-stage sampling. The data collection tool was a questionnaire. Data were analyzed using the descriptive statistics of frequency, percentage, mean, and standard deviation. Hypothesis testing was done using Pearson’s correlated coefficient. The results showed that 1) The communication factors about the qualifications of the candidate that affected the election campaign were first, the candidate’s fame and reputation, which was rated 4.06 points on a scale of 1 to 5, followed by the candidate’s personality (4.02), the candidate’s communication skills (3.96) and lastly, the candidate’s political party (3.62). 2) Overall, the voters surveyed had a high level of media exposure. By type, they reported that personal media affected their decision to vote the most (4.07), followed by ad hoc media (4.06), local journalism (4.05), and new media (4.00). This indicates that most people still prefer personal media, especially door-to-door visits by candidates, and they place importance on local journalism, which means community radio and local newspapers. 3) Demographic factors were strongly correlated to communication factors that affected voting, to a statistically significant degree at 0.05. 4) Demographic factors were correlated to media exposure factors that affected voting, to a statistically significant degree at 0.05
