ผลของการปรึกษาแบบกลุ่มเพื่อเสริมสร้างความผาสุกของผู้ป่วยโรคเอดส์ วัดพระบาทน้ำพุ จังหวัดลพบุรี

Abstract

การศึกษาครั้งนี้มีวัตถุประสงค์เพื่อ 1) เปรียบเทียบความผาสุกของผู้ป่วยโรคเอดส์กลุ่มทดลองที่ได้รับการปรึกษากลุ่มก่อนทดลองและหลังการทดลอง และ 2) เปรียบเทียบความผาสุกของผู้ป่วยโรคเอดส์กลุ่มทดลองที่ได้รับการปรึกษากลุ่มกับกลุ่มควบคุมที่ได้รับการดูแลตามปกติ กลุ่มตัวอย่างเป็นผู้ป่วยโรคเอดส์ จำนวน 16 คน วัดพระบาทน้าพุ จังหวัดลพบุรี ที่ได้มาโดยการเลือกแบบเจาะจงตามเกณฑ์ที่กำหนด จากนั้นสุ่มอย่างง่ายเพื่อแบ่งเป็นกลุ่มควบคุมและกลุ่มทดลอง กลุ่มละ 8 คน เครื่องมือที่ใช้ในการทำวิจัย ได้แก่ 1) โปรแกรมการปรึกษากลุ่มเพื่อเสริมสร้างความผาสุก และ 2) แบบวัดความผาสุกของผู้ป่วยเอดส์ ที่มีค่าความเที่ยงเท่ากับ .85 กลุ่มทดลองได้รับการปรึกษากลุ่ม จำนวน 8 ครั้ง ครั้งละ 1.30-2.00 ชั่วโมง กลุ่มควบคุมได้รับการดูแลตามปกติ สถิติที่ใช้ในการวิเคราะห์ข้อมูล คือ ค่ามัธยฐาน ค่าเบี่ยงเบนควอไทล์ การทดสอบวิลคอกซัน และการทดสอบแมนวิทนีย์ ผลการวิจัยปรากฏว่า 1) ผู้ป่วยโรคเอดส์มีความผาสุกเพิ่มขึ้นภายหลังได้รับการปรึกษากลุ่มอย่างมีนัยสำคัญทางสถิติที่ระดับ.05 และ 2) ภายหลังการทดลองผู้ป่วยโรคเอดส์กลุ่มทดลองมีความผาสุกเพิ่มขึ้นมากกว่ากลุ่มควบคุมอย่างมีนัยสำคัญทางสถิติที่ระดับ .05

The objectives of this research were (1) to compare levels of well-being of AIDS patients in the experimental group before and after receiving group counseling; and (2) to compare the level of well-being of the experimental group AIDS patients who received group counseling with that of the control group AIDS patients who received usual care. The subjects were 16 AIDS patients at Wat Phrabat Nampu Temple in Lop Buri province. They were purposively selected based on pre-determined criteria. Then, they were randomly assigned into an experimental group and a control group, each of which containing eight subjects. The employed research instruments were (1) a group counseling program for enhancing well-being of AIDS patients, and (2) an assessment scale on well-being of AIDS patients, with the reliability coefficient of .85. The experimental group received eight sessions of group counseling each of which lasted from one and a half hours to two hours; while the control group received usual care. Data were analyzed using the median, inter-quartile range, Wilcoxon test, and Mann-Whitney test. The findings showed that (1) the post-experiment well-being level of the experimental group AIDS patients who had received group counseling was significantly higher than their pre-experiment counterpart level at the .05 level of statistical significance; and (2) after receiving group counseling, the experimental group AIDS patients’ well-being level was significantly higher than the counterpart level of the control group AIDS patients at the .05 level of statistical significance.
