Abstract
การวิจัยครั้งนื้มีวัตถุประสงค์เพื่อ (1) ศึกษาระดับคุณภาพในการให้บริการแก่ผู้มาเยี่ยมผู้ต้องขังของเรือนจำในจังหวัดนครศรีธรรมราช (2) เปรียบเทียบการให้บริการแก่ผู้มาเยี่ขมผู้ต้องขังของเรือนจำในจังหวัดนครศรีธรรมราช และ (3) เสนอแนะแนวทางในการปรับปรุงการให้บริการแก่ผู้มาเยี่ยมผู้ต้องขังของเรือนจำในจังหวัดนครศรีธรรมราช การวิจัยครั้งนี้เป็นการวิจัยเชิงสำรวจ โดยกลุ่มตัวอย่างใด้แก่ผู้มาเยี่ยมผู้ต้องขังจำนวน
577 คนจากเรือนจำ 3 แห่งใด้แก่เรือนจำกลางจังหวัดนครศรีธรรมราชเรือนจำอำเภอทุ่งสง เรีอนจำอำเภอปากพนัง และ ท้ณฑสถาน 1 แห่ง ได้แก่ ทัณฑสถานวัยหนุ่มจังหวัดนครศรีธรรมราช เครื่องมือที่ใช้ได้แก่แบบสอบถาม สถิติที่ใช้ในการวิเคราะห์ข้อมูลได้แก่ ค่าร้อยละ ค่าเฉลี่ย ค่าเบี่ยงเบนมาตรฐาน และการวิเคราะห์ความแปรปรวนทางเดียว ผลการวิจัยพบว่า (1) ระดับคุณภาพในการให้บริการแก่ผู้มาเยี่ยมผู้ต้องขังของเรือนจำ
โดยภาพรวมอยู่ในระดับปานกลาง (2) เมื่อเปรียบเทียบการให้บริการแก่ผู้มาเยี่ยมผู้ต้องขังเป็นรายพื้นที่พบว่า เรือนจำที่มีค่าเฉลี่ยคุณภาพการบริการสูงสุดคือเรือนจำอำเภอปากพนัง พิจารณาเป็นรายด้านพบว่า การบริการโดยรวมของทุกเรือนจำด้านที่มีค่าเฉลี่ยสูงสุดได้แก่ด้าน เจ้าหน้าที่/บุคลากร เมื่อวิเคราะห์ความแตกต่างของคุณภาพการบริการ พบว่า ไม่มีควานแตกต่างกันในคุณภาพการบริการของเรือนจำ/ทัณฑสถานทั้ง 4 แห่ง ทั้งในภาพรวมและรายด้าน และ (3) ข้อเสนอแนะแนวทางในการปรับปรุงการให้บริการ ได้แก่ ควรมีการปรับปรุงกระบวนการ/ขั้นตอนการให้บริการ รวมทั้งส่งเสริมการปฏิบัติงานเชิงรุกและอย่างมีจรรยาวิชาชีพของเจ้าหน้าที่ บุคลากร สำหรับการปรับปรุงสิ่งอำนวยความสะดวกซึ่งเป็นด้านทีผู้มาเยี่ยมต้องการมากที่สุดนั้น แม้จะถูกจำกัดด้วยงบประมาณ แต่ก็ควรพิจารณาหาวิธีการที่เหมาะสมเพื่อปรับปรุงพื้นที่นั่งพักคอย และพื้นที่จอดรถตามความต้องการของผู้ใช้บริการ
This research were aimed to : (1) study level of service quality provided to the visitors visiting prisoners at prisons and correction institute in Nakhon Si Thammarat province ; (2) compare the services provided to the visitors visiting prisoners at prisons and correction institutes in Nakhon Si Thammarat Province and (3) recommend appropriate approach to improve the service. This study was a survey research. Samples consisted of 577 visitors visiting prisoners at 3 prisons and 1 correction institute in Nakhon Si Thammarat province i.e. Central Prison of Nakhon Si Thammarat, Thung Song District Prison, Pak Phanang District Prison, and Nakhon Si Thammarat Youth Correction Institute. Instrument used was questionnaire. Statistical tools employed to analyze data were frequency, percentage, mean, and one-way ANOVA. Research result revealed that : (l)quality of service provided to the visitors visiting prisoners at prisons and correction institute in Nakhon Si Thammarat province was in medium level ; (2) when compared service quality provided to the visitors visiting prisoners, it was found that service provided by Pak Phanang Prison had highest mean of quality in general, as for each aspect of quality: it was found that in general, quality of service in personnel aspect had highest mean, when analyzed the difference of quality of services provided by all 3 prisons and 1 correction institute, no difference was found and (3) recommendations for service improvement were: there should be improvement in process/procedure of service, personnel should be encouraged to be proactive in their service performance and to willingly follow their professional ethic, as for facilities improvement which was most required by the visitors, in spite of budget limitation, the organizations should find out appropriate ways to improve visitors waiting and parking areas as required.
